3M Hoover T Series HEPA Filter

This filter works ok for the price BUT it does not fit as well as the original filter. When I purchased this filter I thought it would be an exact fit and it is not.

This replacement filter is a great alternative to the OEM filter. While the face-plate doesn't sit perfectly flush on a UH70205, it in no way affects the performance. And, you hardly notice the tiny gap when you're using the machine. When inserted, the filter slides in firmly and creates a snug seal.

The large opening on the front of the filter allows the filtered air to exit more quickly. Otherwise, the filtered air would have to travel through the cord rewind housing and then past a foam filter located under the dust collection chamber. The air coming out of the redesigned hole is strong enough to blow light debris away from the vacuum. I've chased little dust bunnies a couple times when approaching a wall that deflects the outgoing air downward towards the floor. Sometimes, they blew right into the mouth of the vacuum, but a couple times they flew into the air.

My vacuum's suction is phenomenal and I'd buy these filters again when needed.

I bought a bulk "Honeywell" carbon pre-filter blanket, and then cut it into squares to fit into the bottom of the filter. I've had no issues with my custom carbon filter coming loose, and the 6 tabs are more than enough to hold the pre-filter in place when installing the filter.

I know others have had issues with this thing not fitting correctly or forcing air the wrong direction. 3M must have gotten your messages because those things don't seem to be a problem when I put this in my vacuum. It fits and works perfectly, and it looks exactly like the original.

While the 3M Hoover T series Hepa filter fits fairly well, it has an opening in the front, unlike the OEM which did not, that allows air that passes through the vacuum directing it downward onto the floor causing debris on a hard surface floor to be stirred up and blown into the air making you constantly chase the debris. After two weeks of use, I pulled the filter out to check it and the filter media inside has totally fallen apart leaving a gapping hole.

Works fine with my Hoover Wind Tunnel Rewind T Series vacuum. My vacuum suction improved greatly with this new filter, although I'm not sure if it due to a superior filter or simply because I needed a new filter. The filter fits into the slot snugly but doesn't lay flush with the vacuum, it sticks out slightly. This does not appear to affect performance. The plastic casing on the filter has a hole in the front unlike the original, which lets out the airflow and causes very light objects to fly away before the vacuum can get it. There wasn't enough fly aways to be problematic for me though. Over all a great filter for the fact it was half the price of the Hover brand. I'd buy this filter again.

So after reading a few mixed reviews about this product, I tried this filter in my vacuum. Seemed like a good deal and 3M is usually a good company. I installed this item, and even double checked what I did to make sure I didn't do it wrong. When I turned the vacuum on, the pile of dust in front of me blew up in the air instead of being sucked inside. I removed the new filter and re-inserted the genuine part we were replacing. Gathered the dust again and it was sucked up. There is an opening in the front of the 3M filter that allows air to escape, blowing straight at the floor in front of the vacuum. Good luck sucking anything up. I returned the item to Amazon and stuck with the genuine parts. Its worth the money.

Fits better than the original, works the same and is made of MUCH better material than the factory one. Had to wait a little for the backorder to get it, but it was definitely worth the wait for the product and the price! Looks slightly different than the original,,,the new one had a 2"x1" hole in the front , where the original had a emblem that blocked most of the air and deflected it downward. The sweeper runs a little cooler than before. Nice job, 3M

I don't know anything about vacuums, so I guess this works fine. My vacuum on the other hand might need replacing soon.
