I purchased this for my home office, The arm, while made from sturdy metal has a lot of slop in the pivot points. This causes wobble while typing. Considering the price level this product falls short.

I would recommend this to anyone, but a few caveats,

make sure you have enough thickness of wood to mount it into, it's not light...

the range of motion should be understood....not really limiting, but don't expect this to be something it is not.

otherwise, I love this, I got two and I am very happy with them, they include a wrist rest, mousing surface, and all sorts of cable guides and so forth, definitely worth it!!

This is a good product once assembled, but attaching the keyboard tray to the arm was an hour long exercise in frustration. The bolts provided for this purpose are too short to accommodate both the lock washers and cap nuts provided. In fact, they're barely long enough to engage the threads on the cap nuts without the washers, projecting only about 1/16" above the mounting holes in the arm. I never could get it assembled as specified with the lock washers, even with another person helping me wrangle the awkward parts, and had to leave the lock washers off. Why they couldn't provide slightly longer bolts is a mystery to me. Whoever designed this should be forced by 3M to spend a week assembling them--with the lock washers--to learn their lesson.

Other comments about the pivot points being loose, etc., are not true for me. The finished product is solid as a rock.

I bought this for my husband, who had been having "mouse arm" problems and needed to get his mouse on his keyboard drawer. He found it easy to install, very flexible to use, extremely adjustable, and smooth to operate. He said it was one of the best Christmas presents I ever gave him. I combined it with a very ergonomic wireless mouse, of course.

I bought this keyboard shelf because the surface of my new corner desk was too high for me to comfortably type and use the mouse - I was having severe elbow pain. This shelf adjusts to a low enough height for comfortable use, and is wide enough that I don't have to reach for my mouse. I can place it right beside the keyboard.
