There are two name plate options. One where you write on it with a marker is free. The other option is to pay $7.00 and mail it in to have up to 14 characters (including spaces) engraved. Not a big deal if you want to look like a professional, but thought you should know since the tag itself costs not even half that. I'm sure this tag will last for years because it is 3M.

This was the perfect addition to my new stethoscope. It is so reasonably priced, which means that I can use this for nursing school and then perhaps a new one once I have become an RN! Note: don't put "RN" or "MD" on your tag unless you have already earned that title!

After I spent $80 on a new stethoscope, I really want to hold onto it! This tag is perfect because it is light, but clearly identifies the scope as yours. If you are going to spend a bunch of $ on a stethoscope, spend a little extra for this tag to help you hold onto it.
