5.0 out of 5 stars A must have to keep on hand, March 20, 2011

This review is from: 3M Micropore Paper Tape - 1 x 10 Yds - Box 12 (Health and Beauty)
After dealing with a very dangerous cellulits infection this summer I learned the value of proper first aid. For myself now I have to properly care for each and every cut that draws blood, even if only a paper cut.

Bandaids don't always hold in place in all situations, and sometimes you need something bigger than just a bandaid. This tape fills that need. And being able to buy it by the box made it economical to keep on hand.

Now if I have to put a bandaid on a finger or wrist, or some other not so smooth and stationary spot.. I can add some tape to help hold it in place. I heal quickly, if properly treated.. So bandaging is only needed for 2 or 3 days. But I have to do it a LOT now, to be safe for myself. And that means a LOT of bandaids. This tape makes sure that the ones that I put on, stay on.

Don't quite follow what I'm talking about? You know how when you put a bandaid on your finger and if it's too tight you can't bend your finger, and if it's too loose it comes off the first time you have to grab something that will cause it to pull off? The tape solves that.

It's gentle to skin, even tender skin, stays on well, yet is easy to pull off and leaves no 'ooogies' behind. It allows skin to breathe too.

I use this tape for my wrists when my arthritis flares up in them. Works fine. Not heavy tape and not all that strong, but going around my wrists a second time with the tape works well - helps support the wrist better than any wrist brace I have used.

Nice substitute for first aid tape. Very pliable and easy to use when wrapping around toes and the like. Packaged deal was very affordable with free shipping.

Solid product at decent price. Same product I used to buy in the grocery store for twice as much. The box of 12 saves me 50% off the store product and it is 3M quality. Good buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect product for health, May 19, 2011
This review is from: 3M Micropore Paper Tape - 1 x 10 Yds - Box 12 (Health and Beauty)
Using the 3M Micropore Paper Tape to assist with retraining a mouth breather with poor oxygen metabolism. There has been no experienced side-effects when taping the mouth because both nostrils only 'plug up' when breathing through our mouth.

Some background information... Even though this review is about the 3M Micropore Paper Tape, I purchased this product after reading a book by Patrick McKeown called Close Your Mouth that explains the benefits of breathing through the nose 'only' and that when under stress we unconsciously breathe through our mouths. Of course, searching online yielded additional sources of information that corroborated that nasal breathing is beneficial to one's health - especially helpful for asthma sufferers. But I did learn that when I breathe through my nose I'd raise the carbon-dioxide levels in my blood which allows the oxygen into cells (oxygen metabolism) and when there is more oxygen in the cells, blood sugar levels will improve.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Hypoallergenic Tape! Highly Recommended!, January 16, 2012
This review is from: 3M Micropore Paper Tape - 1 x 10 Yds - Box 12 (Health and Beauty)
My "Wound Care" specialist recommended the 3M Micropore Tape for me since I am very sensitive to just about every other tape\adhesive that has been tried in the past. This has been a really good find as after two weeks of use I haven't had any reaction and my condition will likely require use of the tape for several more months.

The tape is strong and holds very well. I like that it is perforated and can be hand torn into convenient sizes at about 2" increments. Like all long term use tapes, it will leave some sticky adhesive residue on your skin when it is removed, but it is fairly easy to remove by gently rubbing the area with a warm dampened washcloth.

We also use Box of 4 3M Micropore Surgical Tape 3" x 10 yds White 3M 1535-03 as well, with the same great results!

Highly Recommended!

im an lpn and this is the kind i love to use if i have a choice. when it comes to having to tape something to ones skin this kind is gentle yet stays on. i find a lot of paper tape useless and depend on this. if you need tape for such a reason go with this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product., November 30, 2011

I use this constantly for my sleep studies on patient's and the product works perfectly. It holds the electrodes in place with out a problem. The only draw backs are when the patient's have significant facial or body hair, that's when the tape has trouble staying on. Shaving off the hair would be best but sometimes that's not an option. Also, if the patient has oily skin it also tends to fall off a bit. Besides these minor issues I still use it daily.

I bought this tape as an alternative to wrap tape. My skin is very sensitive and does not like things that are super harsh or pull too much. That being said, this tape works well for my purposes. I use it to wrap my knuckles and have had no problems with it coming undone or not coming off. Plus, it doesn't leave weird welts on my skin. I like it.
