3M makes great abrasive products, and these pads are no exception. I am using them to scuff aluminum prior to priming (am building an airplane). Unlike those green pads sold as kitchen abrasive pads, these reamin functional far longer than the first swipe or two.
The pads are large enough that I cut them into quarters for use, and expect that it will be quite a while before I need more.

If you're sanding on a boat these Pads work very well for a final pass before painting. Smoothes out sander scratches no matter the grit sandpaper. I get a better finish !!! 3M puts out reliable products & haven't found better over the years !!
