From the Manufacturer

3M™ Speedglas™ Wild-N-Pink Welding Helmet 100 with Auto Darkening Filter 100V helps provide eye and face protection for worker safety while welding. The helmet comes ready to use with a lens offering three sensitivity settings: 1) Normal for most types of welding both indoors and outdoors, 2) A setting for when other welders are working nearby, and 3) A setting for low-current or stable arc welding.

Auto Darkening Filter Reacts Quickly After Striking an Arc
The Speedglas 100V lens also features five user-selectable dark shades, from shade 8 through shade 12, and a light shade of 3. The auto darkening filter quickly darkens after striking an arc to maintain optimal viewing. The auto darkening filter also reduces the need to flip the viewing lid, which can be stressful on the neck and a distraction while welding. The viewing area provides a field of view that allows the welder to see the work in progress with minimal obstruction. This welding helmet makes a statement with its intense pink color and eye-catching graphics. Recommended welding applications include metal fabrication, assembly, mechanical and metal repair.

One Helmet Works for Three Types of Welding
This fully assembled welding helmet with ADF (Auto Darkening Filter) offers sensitivity adjustments for use with most Stick (arc welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding applications. The welding helmet uses an auto darkening filter that can be adjusted for different shades based on the welding amperage. The viewing area measures 1.73 inches high x 3.66 inches wide and has excellent optical quality.

Versatile Eye Protection for Welders
Welding helmets help protect the eyes and face in numerous ways. For starters, the helmet blocks the sparks and spatter that welding produces from reaching the eyes and face. Protecting the eyes from exceptionally bright light and rapid changes in brightness is another safety benefit of a welding helmet. Without protection, eyes can be temporarily or permanently injured by the intensity of light produced by welding. Eyes also have difficulty adjusting to rapid brightness changes while welding in dark locations, which can be both a productivity and safety issue.

This is a very pretty helmet indeed . but it is very annoying I spent most of the time adjusting and readjusting it. you have to manually turn it on before welding the headband is not very comfortable at all the sizing could could use improving other than the colors it wasnt made especially for a woman... I should have just bought another miller helmet like i had before it was awesome no problems .. well thats what I for choosing the pretty one . I guess you cant have your cake and eat it too.

I have been using this welding helmet in school for mig welding for a few weeks now. Everyday when I do my first weld, I get a bright white flash in my eyes after looking at the arc. Similar to a camera flash in my eyes. The brightness kind of blinds me for a few moments, and I can't weld again till the bright white light in my eyes goes away. It's almost like just wearing sunglasses. It doesn't seem to be working for me really at all. I have the sensitivity and the shade all the way up. No one else that has tried my helmet has had this bright light eye problem, so I am wondering if its just me. So all in all, it is a very esthetically pleasing helmet on the outside, very comfortable when wearing and doesn't fall down when I push it up to see my welds, but since it doesn't work like it should, and I can't see when I am doing my welds, I am not a fan of it. I may be doing some damage to my eyes if I continue to use this helmet.
