Repels Ticks that may carry West Nile Virus and also mosquitoes, biting flies, chiggers, gnats, fleas and deer flies. Splash & Sweat Resistant. Unique 3M Polymer Technologh optimized to enhance the efficacy of DEET and provide time controlled release of DEET. Stable in Freeze/Thaw conditions. 5 year guarantee. Over the years I have used various versions of Off, Cutters and many versions of repellant with differing amounts of DEET. Ultrathon has by far proven to be the most effective. I trusted this stuff to keep, possibly malaria ridden, mosquitoes off me when I went to Africa.

The scientists at 3M worked their magic with DEET and produced a very effective insect repellent. I play golf after work and around the 9th hole, it's feeding time for the mosquitoes and I'm the main course. It may be my sweet blood, but I usually get bites all over. Since using 3M's ultrathon, I've become invisible to mosquitoes and walk away from my round bite free. The guys I play with swear by it and I ended up buying a couple bottles for them, as well as family members. I've used deep woods off, and other deet based products, but this one is by far the most effective. Highly recommended for those that hate getting insect bites.

Ultrathon spray worked, and I never saw mosquito. However, I went to Guatemala in the dry season, so maybe that made a difference. I like the spray best because you don't have to get it on your fingers. Wish it came in a smaller travel size, however.
