Over the years I have used various versions of Off, Cutters and many versions of repellant with differing amounts of DEET. Ultrathon has by far proven to be the most effective. I trusted this stuff to keep, possibly malaria ridden, mosquitoes off me when I went to Africa.

The scientists at 3M worked their magic with DEET and produced a very effective insect repellent. I play golf after work and around the 9th hole, it's feeding time for the mosquitoes and I'm the main course. It may be my sweet blood, but I usually get bites all over. Since using 3M's ultrathon, I've become invisible to mosquitoes and walk away from my round bite free. The guys I play with swear by it and I ended up buying a couple bottles for them, as well as family members. I've used deep woods off, and other deet based products, but this one is by far the most effective. Highly recommended for those that hate getting insect bites.

Ultrathon spray worked, and I never saw mosquito. However, I went to Guatemala in the dry season, so maybe that made a difference. I like the spray best because you don't have to get it on your fingers. Wish it came in a smaller travel size, however.

Summary:
Whenever I go outside into the jungle and wilderness I use this awesome stuff. The spray give you 3 hours of coverage, whereas the lotion gives you 12 hours of coverage. I have not found anything yet that compares to this repellent. Around $6 for bottle of spray. This spray has protected me time and time again!

I used this quite a few times on some travels to the backwoods of South Dakota, and every time I used it I never once had any type of bug bite me.

I wish I could write more, but there's not much to say.
When I put it on, nothing seems to touch me, so it works well if you ask me.
Keep in mind the region I'm talking about too, not sure how it will work elsewhere, but no ticks, mosquito's, fly's or etc came near me.

In summery I say it works for me and it's a good buy.

We recently ran out of another product and our local sporting goods store only had this in stock. We purchased and utilized this in various areas of mosquito densities. It was mildly effective for short term, however, it came up short in feel. This stuff felt like a coating of slimy frosting on our skin and clothes. We were more concerned with washing this off when we got home. It worked reasonably well, though not in any impressive way, but the sliminess of this product means nobody in my household wants to use it again.

This stuff works, but in combination with other repellants. I spent several hours outside in a park, and, while seeing lots of mosquitoes around, did not get bitten at all. I sprayed it all over my hair, while also using the 3M SRL-12 Ultrathon Insect Repellent Cream for my face, ears, and neck, and the Sawyer SP657 Permethrin Premium Insect Clothing Repellent, 24-Ounce Spray for my clothes.

We live in Savannah,Ga., and the gnats take over here! I have ordered almost every item that states it has a success record, but truth be known....the ONLY way to get rid of these aggravating insects, is to MOVE!!
