5.0 out of 5 stars awesome bike/trailer rack, August 4, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

This product is without question "awesome". I can load my bikes and pull my kayak trailer at the same time. My only problem was the lock for the bikes. I cannot get mine to lock. This is a minor issue but none the less a issue. If you have a SUV and need to get in the back, no problem the bikes can be lowered down so you can open the hatch. You only have to be strong enough to lower the bikes.

1.0 out of 5 stars Low durablity, July 2, 2010
This review is from: 4-Bike 2,000 lb. Rated Towing Hitch Bicycle Rack
This carrier was a great concept but fell short when it came to durability. I've used mine for just a few trips so far and had two of the 4 clamps break so far. The adjustment for tube thickness is controlled by two tiny pins that come lose after a while and fall out. These pins are connected to the spring that keeps them into place, but the connection is so small, like a 1/16" diameter circle, that after only a few trips they let lose and the uppper part of the bracket falls off.

If you own one of these make sure you use a strap to secure your bikes to the frame. It's the only thing that saved us from running over the bikes with our camper.

Now to see if I can get a new cap and this time I'll remove the pins and bolt it in place.
