You will buy this book,

Of course you will. You have no choice in the matter. The original Saab manuals are long out of print and rare as hen's teeth. So you will buy it, and you will join the legion of Saab 9000 enthusiasts who affectionately call it "the book of lies."You will supplement your purchase with an Alldata subscription, because really, you will want accurate wiring diagrams and component placements. You will become a denizen of www.saabscene.com because the wealth of experience there will let you know when the book is true and when the book is false. And with all those things, you should be able to get many miles of driving pleasure from your 9000. But don't think for a moment that you can rely on the book alone.

Haynes Saab 9000 Service Manual,

This review is from: Saab 9000 (4-Cylinder) Service and Repair Manual (Haynes Service & Repair Manual) (Paperback)
This manual is typical Haynes with poor quality paper and hard to see detail in photographs. It is unfortunately one of the few such manuals available for this car and other foreign cars.

For your basic mechanic,

Great for quick little simple tune up procedures. Don't expect wiring, vacuum, or emissions schematics in legible charts. Just enough for a general idea. If you need specific torques ect, buy yourself the factory service manuals. Still handy to have around for a quick reference, on a budget or don't plan on having the vehicle long.
