This is the only CD I have from Kool G Rap, and let me say it is one amazing album. I don't know if all his album's are like this but I just can't get over how good this CD really is. I have been sleepin on it for 8 years. I first got my hands on this jewel in 2003. I think every song on this CD is fantasic. No weak points in the album, just good jams, right after another. Yes it is a little short with only 11 tracks, 1 of those tracks is an intro, and 1 is a remix to a song on the CD. But there are no bad songs, which makes up for that. It features Nas on one track, and B1 (who I have never herd of) & MF Grimm both on two tracks. It also has production by Buckwild from Diggin in the Crates Crew. I don't have any favorite songs becuase there all good in there own way. This CD is worth the $15. This CD is only for True Hiphop Heads!

Kool G Rap by far is my favorite rapper of all time. The 4,5,6, was without a doubt a classic. Every time i think about rap songs that came out during my high schol years, this album always come to mind. I was kind of upset that DJ Polo wasn't included in this album, because if he was then this album would of blown up world wide. The song that i like the most i say would have to be "Fast Life". Every time i hear that song it reminds be of my old hood in Queens & Da Boogie Down BX.

In 1995, Kool G. Rap split from DJ Polo and went on the solo and dropped the album 4,5,6. Not many people speak of this album when the mention Kool G., so this right here seems to be sort of a lost album. Whats a little different about this than his previous releases is that the album is shorter, and hes lyrically changed. There aren't a lot of story telling tracks on here that go into detail, as many were used to, but more lyrical tracks that covered many topics that were popular back in '95 (such as the Mafia lifestyle, but G. Rap flipped it to make it seem original).

Most of the tracks on here have solid quality. I have to admit, I had to let this album grow on me. But when you analyze the whole album, songs like "4,5,6", and "It's A Shame" are both dope. "Take 'Em To War" is a hot song as well and features B1, and MF Grimm. "Executioner Style" will fit perfectly in the rap game topics that were popular back then, with a dope sounding beat. I think "Blowin' Up In The World" is my favorite out of this album, because of the fact Kool G.'s rhymes are on point the most on here, about coming up (the popular tongue twisting style is unique with him). "Fast Life" is another highlight with young and fresh sounding Nas. The album final track "Money On My Brain" is another excellent colab with B1 and MF Grimm again.

The overall album is hot. It may grow on some, while others it will hit right away. It fits perfectly into the mid-late hip hop back in '95. Kool G. never misses a step with this album and has a long line of classics before this album. This is one I would recommend. Peace.
