It is a basic textbook for college English, but it is also a good read. The essays are thought provoking, topical, and range in interest. A great beginner's book for critical thinking.

You buy the ones your professor tells you to get. I saved a lot getting the books at Amazon though. Used is the new 'new', when it comes to saving money at college.
