I weigh grain with this scale for brewing, and it's a classic piece of equipment in the industry. If I had to change anything, I'd get a .1 pound increment instead of .2, which is what comes with. If buying again, I'd shell out a few more bucks and get the 300 pound version. I bought this unit last year and the battery is still running it, although it does come with an adapter that I'm too lazy to plug in.

There is an automatic shutoff that might frighten people who work very slowly, if you don't do anything for a certain period of time it resets to zero by powering down.

Overall, a tough piece of gear that you'll own for a long time. I know other brewers that have a similar model they've used for many years!

The scales arrived intact and worked GREAT right out of the box!! I can now weigh accurately baggage for flights (my son travels a lot to Africa on missions trips) and I can weigh packages to ship for him and myself with out setting it on the bathroom scales, pull it off fast enough to MAYBE see the numbers before they disapear!!!
