Book Description

January 15, 2012
Adam Jones was living the life: good job, sweet girlfriend (a redhead to boot), car, house. But in just one year, he will be incarcerated for participation in a vast terrorist conspiracy. It all started with Bradley the Buyer, calling him from the annals of their sordid past. Bradley, a first-rate freak and self-proclaimed criminal mastermind. Maybe it was boredom or curiosity, but he took the call. Soon, Adam is doing "Ops" with his psychotic friend. When a reality prank goes too far, he tries to get out. But it is already too late. There is no way out but through. By the end, he finds out how deep the rabbit-hole goes, but not before sacrificing his body, soul, and his cozy suburban dream in the process. Written off the headlines, this modern myth blurs the lines between fiction and reality. Note: this is a stand alone novella in the Fallen Nation world. Vol. 1 is Fallen Nation: Party At The World's End. Also look for the associated Bradley the Buyer and HoodooEngine albums.

Editorial Reviews

About the Author

James Curcio creates dystopian propoganda for a generation of hedonists, intellectuals, and drug addicts. Rumors of being a key member of a harem of feral lesbians are slightly exaggerated, however. Previous brain-washing agents have taken the form of subversive novels, essays, scripts for comic and films, albums, soundtracks, podcasts, and performances. They were distributed to the eyes and ears of an unwitting and impressionable public through internet, print, and social media. He's also worked as art and content director, web designer, SEO assassin, sex ninja robot assassin, and once made an egg stand on its end with the force of will alone. Nate Sampsel has written for Modern Mythology, Alterati, Join My Cult and has contributed to the Modern Mythology anthology "Apocalyptic Imaginary". He has worked on a number of creative projects, including engineering social networking experiments and temporary autonomous zones, but his main passion is music. He has recorded and performed as BRADLEY THE BUYER, including the companion record to this book entitled "USED PEOPLE USING PEOPLE." He is a part time couch surfing drifter and a full time basement dwelling troll. He will eat your children.

More About the Author

Jamie (James) Curcio creates dystopian propaganda for lost generations of hedonistic outsiders, intellectual freaks, and incurable drug fiends. Rumors of being a key member of a harem of feral lesbians are slightly exaggerated, however.
Previous brain-washing agents have taken the form of subversive novels, essays, scripts for comic and films, albums, soundtracks, podcasts, visual art, and performances. His writing on myth and identity has been taught in several college-level courses, often seeking to transcend or challenge expected boundaries of medium, social context, or form.

He lives with a harem of feral lesbians and cats somewhere in the mountains and lives exclusively on mochas, lion milk, and raw honey. http://www.jamescurcio.com
