About the Author

Charles Tive was formerly a Deputy Superintendent in the Nigerian Police Force and later an investigative specialist at the United States Embassy, Lagos, Nigeria from 1998 to 2004. While working for the U.S. government, Mr. Tive was involved with the detection, apprehension and investigation of almost a thousand 419 cases involving American victims and victims from other western countries. Some of these cases involved a loss or potential loss of between 100, 000 USD to more than a million USD.

Mr. Tive attended several international courses and seminars and has also participated in several international conferences on 419 scam and other related trans-national crimes.

Tive obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History / Education at the University of Jos, Nigeria and a Masters Degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies from the Lagos State University, Lagos, Nigeria.
