5.0 out of 5 stars mindblowing debut, March 27, 2004

with this self-titled album, novastar secured himself of a prominent spot in the belgian scene. although a lot poppier than the follow-up, this album contains 10 tracks of beautiful pop/rock featuring moving vocals, nice lyrics and floating melodies. a masterpiece.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff, November 23, 2008
This review is from: 4281 (Audio CD)
We saw Novastar open for Neil Young at a small outdoor venue in Germany 4 or 5 Summers ago. The songs are fairly simple. They hit you with a growing wave of sound. Not quite as strong as Reamonn for example, but compelling enough to make me look for the album afterwards. No simple task at the time -- thank you Amazon for fixing that.

It's too bad that good music like this from the European continent isn't more accessible to U.S. audiences. But then again, we probably have thousands of musicians here in the States who are dedicated to their craft and still struggling to get a foothold...

this CD of Novastar. If you like Coldplay or Saybia, you have to listen to Novastar from Belgium. Great (emotional) pop songs like 'wrong' and 'the best is yet to come'. A must have.

5.0 out of 5 stars top of belgian rock, December 10, 2000

After great belgian bands such as dEUS and K's choice, novastaer made his big step in the world of rock. His big succes came shortley after the release of his first CD and he became one of the biggest belgian rock bands. Soon after his succes in Belgium, he became famous in the rest of Europe. With his great voice and his sense for music he'll be a worldstar in no time.
