I think this hat was sized by elves. I have a fairly large head, 24 inches circumference, so I ordered an extra large. It was tiny, it fit my very small-headed wife perfectly. I thought they sent me the wrong size but the factory tag does say XL. It makes me think these are meant to be kid hats or something.

The photos are misleading. It's got a weird shape where the circumference of the top of the hat is larger than the circumference of the bottom opening. It gives it a kind of poofy mushroom shape.

It costs more to return it than it does to throw it away.

Agree with the above two commentators:

1. Picture not representative, misleading.

2. One size too large. My wife is trying her re-manufacturing skills on the caps, better than throwing them in the bin.

I wear a 7 7/8 hat. I ordered XXL and it is way too small. If you do order, I suggest that you order a size larger

Two comments for potential purchasers: 1) these hats tend to fit small. I usually wear size large, but for this hat the large was much too small. 2) You can't easily tell from the photo or the description, but this hat has been distressed; i.e. intentionally frayed and torn in a number of places. If that's what you want, go ahead and order one in a size larger than usual.

Comfortable, cool, run a little larger than I expected and they don't shrink much. I tried in HOT water a couple of time to no avail.

Very good hat, durable, I did have to remove the maker tag on the side as it looked funny on an all black cap.

The very nice thing about it is that when they say XL, it actually is XL

so many XL are not that large, and the one size fits all that so many makers claim is actually one size fits most

A nice hat, made of nice material. I enjoy it. Its hard often to find a fitted hat that is my size, due to my humongous head. This worked well.

Saw the caps and loved them! Got one for a friend and he loved it.

I may get a size larger for comfort next time - I would recommend that if you're not sure about the size. The star/peace symbol is painted on and not embroidered in case you're wondering but it still looks very cool.

Delivery was a bit longer than I would've liked and the caps arrived separately despite buying them at the same time. The customer service rep was very helpful and courteous though so that made up for it.

You can be confident that you'll get what you ask for.

I have a large head and some shaggy hair, so it has been a pain to find hat's on Amazon that actually fit. This one works great and is very comfortable. The tag inside the hat lists it as XL with a military size of 7 3/4 in case you know your hat size that way.

The pin it comes with is pretty nice as well.
