I purchased this item some months ago. The stake was so flimsy it wasn't worth using, I screwed it to my porch post. The sign is still in good shape but the window stickers, I put them on the inside of the glass of my two storm doors and in a couple of months they were so faded you could not read anything. They just turned white

I ordered 2 of these. The wind broke the stick that one of the signs is attached to so I think this is a flimsy product.

After 3 months, the sign on the northwest side of the house has faded to illegibility.

These are really cheap and printed on cheap stock. The ink is cheap too as the stickers and sign fade quickly in the sun...

I wasn't expecting much based on the Amazon price, however I was very disappointed that after 3 months the sign faded. The sign is no longer visible.

This is a good sign and sticker package for your own Home Security system. The only thing I'd have liked better is if the stake on the sign was sturdier. Although, for the price, it's not a big deal. Get a new stake at Home Depot.

This was a terribly disappointing product. The sign was secured with a double-stick pad to the packaging and just in the process of removing it, the sign snapped in two pieces. The stake is also a flimsy plastic and I am afraid it wouldn't last long outside. The stickers were believable and we have put them in the windows (even without the yard sign).

For a product from a reputable company like GE, I expected much higher quality and would not recommend this product.

If you are not handy, do not buy it. The stake is flimsy and won't last. However, if you are handy, you can reinforce the plastic stake with an aluminum or galvanized rod (1/4" diameter) with hot melt glue to the stake. This make the stake very sturdy and will last for a long time.

I don't really understand why there are too many negatives here about this item. It's the same quality as this usual security yard stakes. Maybe they are expecting the quality of the street "STOP" sign? It's definitely not of that quality.

So far it's survived one summer. It's exposed alternately to a lawn sprinkler and up to >100* weather. It's held up just fine so far. I'm amazed as I wasn't expecting any quality at all due to all the negatives here and due to the low price.

The octagon sign is made of good thick plastic. The stake is made of plastic. The window signs stick to windows just fine and is made of plastic as well.

I highly recommend this product.

For the money I would have expected it to have a metal stake for the ground. Stickers are to be stuck on from indoors. Not good if you need to stick them outside for any reason. My stake already broke due to the wind.
