So, invest some money now and you'll save down the road.

The sprayer does not have a release valve so it sprays you in the face from the pressure when you open it (not fun when it is filled with Malathion!).

This is a well made weed or bug sprayer of very high quality.

The product works quite well considering the price. I appreciate its strong jet spray which enables me to reach targetted area 15~20 feet away. But the lack of a slow pressure releasing outlet is a major defect in design and safety considerations. I hope the manufacturer would improve it in the future.

The prayer is well built, it is easy to pump the pressure you need and holds pressure for an extended time. The container is light enough to carry around even for a smaller person.

This is a pretty good item.. It gives you a long reach with plenty of pressure.. I would have given it "5 STARS" but they cut corners with a few plastic parts.. I wondered why they would make such a good "metal" sprayer, then lessen the quality by adding cheap plastic parts.. An example of what I mean is, the clamp that holds the hose to the tank is plastic.. After I filled the tank with a solution to spray my garden, I pumped the tank and the hose started leaking at the clamp.. The clamp was so cheaply made that I was unable to tighten it further. So my liquid was just leaking out. Also, this unit doesn't have a pressure relief valve. So I used it, while it was leaking, until there wasn't anymore pressure in the tank. Then,I removed the plastic clamp and the hose, and replaced the clamp with a small metal clamp, that is working fine.. I wouldn't mine paying a few bucks more for metal parts in place of the plastic ones, but apparently the company feels that the plastic is good enough. So far I haven't had any more leaks.. Other than that, I believe this is a great sprayer.. Just be prepared to replace that clamp..

When my Catalpa tree was infested last year with the Catalpa Worm I knew I needed a serious but not an overly expensive sprayer. This item is very attractive, easy to use, and easy to clean and NOT MADE OF PLASTIC! The few plastic parts it has are functional, strong enough for normal use without breaking halfway through a job. Of course there was no infestation of my tree this year so I didn't need a sprayer that could spray a passing satellite but it has a number of spray patterns available by changing of parts in the spray head (an easy changeover) to allow me to spray weeds in the lawn and do crack and crevice spraying to our walk and driveway. If you are a serious gardener, don't be satisfied with plastic, toy-like sprayers that need batteries and then fail to do a good job, make the investment in this equipment, it may be the last sprayer you will ever buy. (Especially if you spray yourself by mistake with some really toxic substance).

This sprayer is all that I expected it to be. This is evidenced by my sister in law borrowing it immediately and has not yet returned it. Much better than any plastic sprayer and an online source for replacement parts that won't go out of date! Yahoo!

This product is just poorly designed. The hose attachment leaks once you get the necessary pressure to spray; despite my many attempts to remedy. This is especially frustrating when walking around with weed-killer unwittingly killing everything you walk over (e.g. my lawn!!). The sprayer does not have a release valve so it sprays you in the face from the pressure when you open it (not fun when it is filled with Malathion!). The pump unit itself comes out whenever you open the sprayer making it difficult to lift it out without the handle. And whatever you do, don't make the mistake I made (I recognize this was my fault) and store it while pressurized... it blew out the bottom of the unit along the seem.

While I like the aluminum construction, and bought it because I felt it would be more durable than my old plastic sprayer, I found that not to be the case. It has way too many issues to make this a worthwhile purchase.

Poorly designed product. The sprayer doesn't have a release valve so get ready to be sprayed when you open the tank under pressure. The pump is fragil, will not take any abuse. Solo Stainless Steel Handheld Sprayer - 2 Gallon Capacity, Model# 465

I was impressed with the quality of this sprayer. I keep my tools in very clean condition and given that, I don't see why this won't last many years.
