This bulb warms up fairly quickly and casts a nice warm light that's suitable for various indoor uses. I've only rated it 4 stars because I've not had a chance to see how long it lasts. If it turns out to have a good duration, I'll upgrade my review.

Was looking for a light to replace the one in our kitchen. I have replaced two incandescents in less than a year. I have waited a bit to see how this one would work. So far it is great. It does take a few seconds before it achieves full lighting output. This is not a problem since the light in question has 5 other bulbs (all flourescent). It is used for down lighting and works great. If you are looking for bulb with a proportions to an incandescent R20? This should fill the bill.

Low value light for my application. Went with halogen r20 bulb until high output LED's are perfected (enough to get their prices under the "it has to last for over 20,000 hours to pay back" classification.)
