I bought two of these to replace a pair of older model versions of the same type that gave out after about one year of use.
These worked great, nice white light, good coverage. I was happy, until the first one burnt out after about 10 days of use (about 6 hours a day). I thought maybe that one was just bad, until the second one burned out after another 4 days of use. After removing them, I found that the base of each was leaking a viscous ozone-smelling fluid. Another quality product made in China for GE. I guess they might last 6 years if you never use them. I do NOT use a dimmer, so that isn't an issue. I ended up just spending the extra money for LED floodlights and have stopped using CFLs for exterior lighting.

Bought several for outdoor lighting. Beware of the very wide base just above where the bulb is screwed into the light socket. My outdoor lights have shields that protect the bulb, and in this case the shield base width was not wide enough to allow this bulb to fit. Other notes 1) takes 2-4 minutes to reach full brightness 2) light color is nice & warm

I'm using 6 of these in my back yard in place of 100W incandescent par38 bulbs. They output approximately the same amount of light and only use 26% of the power of the incandescent model. What's not to like?

I purchased this bulb several years ago for a very high light fixture. It lasted as promised so I decided it was well worth the money to get the long lasting bulb again. If replacement involves dragging out the extension ladder the price seems reasonable.

These lights work very well with outside motion sensor fixtures. Takes a few seconds to warm up, but after that provide very good illumination.

I purchased two of these GE, made in China, bulbs. They both burned out in no time at all; days. GE is trying to turn a profit, but has lost this customer for all GE products... after a failed stove and now failed bulbs, I have given up on GE products altogether.

Bought two of them from Amazon in December. First one stopped working after a month and the second one after a month and a half.
Was fine while they worked. Took a while to warm up. One of them warmed up faster than the other which had a purplish hue to it. Now I am trying to see if GE will honor their warranty. Going to avoid GE bulbs as they dont seem to be good quality.

I was a bit skeptical of switching from incandescent to this bulb, but I was replacing those bulbs ever 8 or 9 weeks. I have had these for a couple of months now, with no issues. They are very bright, and work well in motion sensing lamps.

this is basically just a CFL bulb in a flood light enclosure. first time I tried them very dim at first then got bright after a minute or so. most CFLs do this so I guess its normal. according to my kill-a-watt meter these use how much power they advertise too. alot less than the incandescent bulbs I was using before. hopefully they last is my only concern
