I purchased this accessory kit to go with my new Canon Rebel Digital SLR camera. It contains everything needed to begin: a spare battery to keep charged, a 4 GB memory card, a cleaning kit, a full size tripod, a card reader, a remote shutter release, a full size case to carry all of the accessories as well as the camera and lens and a holster type case to carry the camera with lens fastened to a belt. When I received the kit I felt I was totally ready to begin shooting pictures and take care of the camera.

Overall I am pleased with this product. They certainly give a lot of stuff for the money. The extra battery and the 4G memory are worth most of the price. Otherwise the quality is mediocre. The tripods, for example are chintzy and the cases are not great. Filters and other items are OK.

Except the tripod is not what is described, the rest stuff are good to use. If the tripod was better, I would recommend this item to everybody.

This package is great! It has everything you need to get started with a new Canon Rebel, and all for a great price! The battery and memory card alone would cost this much at a store! The bubble level is very handy to make sure that the horizon is straight. The extra battery and memory card are also essential. The quality of the filters is great, too. I would definitely recommend this package!

Battery, filters memory card & reader worth the $. The holster case is nice too, decent quality and comes in handy...

Tripod is pretty much useless, but for all the items you get in the package make it well worth the purchase price.

The tripod I got is a Vista Traveler.

I am very pleased with this item. Everything that was promised came with the kit and was of a very good quality. Glad I made the purchase.

Tripod arrived broken (the head was crushed into a dozen pieces) and wasn't a Samsonite as advertised but a Davis and Sanford Traveler. I received a Davis and Sanford Traveler replacement 5 weeks later. I also ordered a Canon remote control alongside this kit but they sent an Opteka instead, though they informed me before they shipped my order. It works fine but is valued less than the Canon. They threw in a strap for my trouble that makes up the value difference, I assume. The transaction was a bit of a hassle, but I got comparable products for the price. The bag is nice.

I edited this post once I received the replacement tripod and I can't change the stars. So this should read 3 stars now instead of one star.

there were more pieces in this starter kit than I thought there would be. Lots of little things that really add up when bought separately. This is a great value!

Just wanted a case for the gear and this came with lots of extras. Very satisfied with what I got
