I've had this product for a year and a half. It takes some work to become comfortable with designing and cutting files, but well worth the effort. Lots of support from yahoo Groups and other web sites. Lots of FREE files shared, too. Xyron customer service leaves a lot to be desired, however. Also, I cannot use this with my new Vista computer. Drivers are available for 32-bit Vista, but not 64-bit. Apparently Xyron isn't making new drivers any time soon. Now I have an expensive machine that I love, but cannot use.

I bought my Wishblade a couple of years ago, and to be honest, haven't used it a whole lot, however... I recently was playing with a Cricut and wanting one, when I realized I just needed to use what I had. Cricut is very user friendly and immediate-gratification, but expensive! After searching online for hundreds of free GSD files for my Wishblade, I'm completely in love with it! I will admit, it is a little tough to cut Bazzill cardstock, but any other paper I've not had a problem with. I do have the create and cut software and admit that it takes a little bit of computer savvy to use it, but just knowing I can cut any free true type font I can download keeps me LOVING my Wishblade over and above the cricut any day.

UPDATE 1/11/11 - I did finally cave and buy a Cricut, but I'm keeping my Wishblade simply for the ease of cutting any true type font. I won't be wasting money on font Cricut cartridges when I have the ability to cut as many styles of fonts on my Wishblade!

I bought the wishblade when the pink version first came out on a tv shopping network. I stayed up to order it. It's been pretty good. However, I've just recently switched to a mac and the old software that came with it was only compatible with Windows 2000/XP. I just realized that they are making me buy new software to be able to run my machine for $99 ($49 if I send in my old disks). If I were to buy the machine right now, it would come with current software that would run everything PC and mac. Hello? What's wrong with this picture? I own the machine. I didn't buy the software separately. This is not like upgrading an OS or a program... the programs should be available to run the machine at no additional charge. It's similar to buying a printer. If you change computers, you should be able to go on-line and download drivers (which are even updated on a regular basis). What a rip off. There are so many other companies to choose from that have very similar machines. Go buy one of those.
