Good price but unfortunately two of the three boxes I ordered arrived without bubble wrap resulting in three broken bulbs. Waiting on response from Amazon.

These are the lights I choose for a room I am going to relax in. Or for rooms I might take pictures of my children in.

This review is from: GE 48695-6 40 Watt Reveal Globe G25 Light Bulb, Frosted, 6-Pack (Tools & Home Improvement)
I was reading all rave reviews about these bulbs. I have a light strip/bar light over my sink/medicine/vanity cabinet in the bathroom. Somehow I got the idea to change the bulbs from the GE bulbs, G-25, 40 watt, white globe, standard/regular, not Reveal bulbs, to Reveal bulbs, same watts. Was there a difference. I did NOT notice any SIGNIFICANT difference in a POSITIVE WAY. But what I did notice, and I did not like, was when the bulb is OFF, they are purple in color. The center of the bulb has a much darker purple spot. It just looks weird---like it is an old bulb that burnt out and needs to be replaced. When on, I will say it is a SOFTER light, but that is about all. No big deal here, plus when on, the bulb's end, where it goes into the socket, is again, a darker hue than the rest of the bulb. This is readily apparent on a vanity light strip--the diagram of which is on the package. I kept the receipt, placed them back into the holder and returned them. Awful. I dusted and wiped off my old bulbs, put them back, and that is that, and much better. These Reveal bulbs are no big deal whatsoever. Don't be hooked like I was and have to go through the hassle of this.
