My kids are 3 and 5 and this is the perfect size for them. I wouldn't recommend it for kids much older/bigger, but for the preschool age this is great! They have taken to doing puzzles on top and playing "school". It seems quite sturdy and was not that difficult to put together. Cute design. We do plan on putting a real computer on it, but we need to look for a small, flat screen so it won't take up the entire desktop.

I bought this desk two years ago for my six year old son. He outgrew it very quickly, it is definitely for toddler age and my experience with toddler boys is they don't sit still very long. He didn't get much use out of it. We passed it down to a good friend of ours. He is 4 and it looks great with his blue/red car themed room. But again, it is mostly a decorator item because it is so darn cute. Also, one of the wooden dowels poked throught the top of the desk scratching the surface. I don't know if it is was a fluke thing or if the desk is cheaply made, it's definitely not solidy wood, but nice.

All pieces were individually wrapped for protection and easy to put together. Piece is smaller than I expected but my 5yr old is bigger than normal also. This will serve him well for this year as he starts school. Would highlighly recommend this desk for your child!
