This funnel fits snugly (& perfectly) inside of a standard size canning jar. It does not rock inside of the jar and the upper portion of the funnel has a wide mouth.
This funnel is made out of a lighter guage stainless steel then some of the higher quality models, but the higher quality ones are much more expensive. That is why I gave it four stars instead of five. This funnel is very adequate and will perform well for many uses. Highly recommended if you want a good servicable funnel for working with standard size jars. Update: after further use of the funnel, I change my rating from 4 to 5 star. It really does fit good into the standard size canning jar & for me, that is the most important attribute.

No sign of the quality issues (thin rivets, rust) some other reviews have found. Mine came in just fine and does the trick perfectly. No sign of any rust or corrosion after several washings/sterilizations, as you would expect with a decent grade of stainless steel. One nice bit: Fill your jar just to the bottom of the funnel and you always have the right 0.5" headspace when canning.
