I received the iSonic HD 787 as a Christmas gift. I've had it 4 days and have enjoyed the ease of recording. It came w/an 2GB SD card so it was ready to go. The video quality isn't bad for something that you point and shoot. This is my 1st hand-held recorder so I didn't want anything too expensive. I read the reviews for the earlier model HD6** so I thought I was prepared for the blurry pictures. However, with the 787, all of my pictures are blurry if further than 2 ft away! That's a bummer but I have a digital camera if I want clear pictures (that ability was just a bonus for me).
Pro's: light weight, size, able to expand memory to 4 GB, easy to use
Con's: pictures are blurry, not able to go from reg. to nightmode while recording

I really wanted a inexpensive camcorder to record video to YouTube. I may record in dark low/light areas so I wanted to have a video light for recording. I decided to try the Snapbox HD787 because I saw that it had a light and the price was lower than the Sony Webbie MHS-CM1. I dicovered that I cannot use the light for video recording. The light only comes on when taking still pictures. I also wanted to use the device as a webcam. I could not figure how to do get it to work with my PC as a webcam. There is no tripod mount either. The display LCD screen hinge was really weak which causes the screen to lean down a little. However, I like the design and and the quality of the video in daylight. Not being able to use the light for video recording is a deal breaker for me as well as not being ably to use it as a webcam is a deal breaker for me.

I will try the Sony Webbie MHS-CM1 HD and see how it works. I have read the reviews and I know that the low light recording quality is horrible with the Sony, but it has got to be better that iSonic Snapbox HD787.
