The pants fit great and are very comfortable.

They have plenty of space for lots of stuff (phone, camera, flashlight, etc) in the cargo pockets.

I need to wear "office casual" style pants at work and these fit the bill perfectly for me.

I live in my old Covert Khakis, but they discontinued them a year ago, to my great dismay. My collection of half a dozen older pants is starting to get weary, so I was interested to see this latest version.

Fabric: the new stuff is significantly lighter weight. The old heavy fabric was quite hot in warm weather until it had been washed a couple of dozen times. While the new version will be cooler, it shows outlines of the stuff in your pockets more easily when you bend your leg or the wind blows the fabric against your skin. Also, the new stuff is a very tight weave. While 100% cotton, it has a slick feel like a finely woven bed sheet. I prefer the "canvas" look and feel of the old pants.

Pockets: they are still nice and deep and square bottomed (very easy to carry a pocket pistol like a P3-AT in a pocket holster), but they have the habit of dumping all the small contents onto the couch when you lie down - coins, keys etc. My old pants pockets did not do that.

Belt loops: the old pants had heavy loops and there was a single fat loop dead center in back, right where my spine hit it while driving. Since I usually wear a fanny pack, which adds additional mass there, it could get very uncomfortable on a really long road trip. These new pants have thinner loops, and there are TWO closely spaced ones in back, with nothing where your bones go. BTW, I am pretty skinny....

"Hidden" pockets: The old pants were truly covert. These are not really - the exposed stitching on the leg pockets yells "TACTICAL!!!" to me. I can live with it, but I much preferred the bland hidden pockets of version 1.

Fly snap: the old pants had two buttons, both of which would be gone by the third washing.

I love these pants! To my eye, they are a bit baggy for "business casual", and there are visible seams where the cargo pockets are sewn in. However, my wife says they look fine and doesn't think they're too baggy, and she's got better taste than I. They are very comfortable and functional, and very well constructed. The fabric is not too heavy for warm weather. The many pockets are great; the sewn-in compartments for ammo magazines will hold all kinds stuff neatly (pens, phone, etc.). A note on colors: "Coyote Brown" is a very light brown, closer to what I think of as khaki. "Tundra" is olive-green.

I ordered 2 pairs of these pants. The first order I kept as I do like the pants. However, I ordered Tundra and the color was OD Green upon arrival. I ordered the second pair with the same color as the first, Tundra, but received Green once again.. The display pictures show Khaki, Green, and Tundra. The Tundra is supposed to be brown, as dipicted in the pictures.
I am disappointed with the difference between what the colors are displayed and what you actually reeive. I sent the second pair back for a refund.

As I write this I wear these commendable pants, they are comfortable and look good enough until you have a very formal occasion of course. They also don't say too much either, they only give away is four zippered pockets. Two cargo pockets and two pockets placed behind the standard slot pockets. The back pockets are large enough to a whole standard size DVD case, not that it feels good to carry something like that there, but it's large enough for any check books or passports you'd like to keep in there. They have small Velcro squares for retention. Having worn ACUs in my military career I personally despise Velcro on anything meant for the field. This is my only dislike with these pants, and it's only an opinionated one. Others people probably won't mind.

The zipper for the cargo pockets is set vertically along the inseam of the pants with a sewn cloth lanyard on each. To open they start at the top and pull down. Each cargo pocket holds two standard 5.56 (M16) magazines fairly well with individual pockets for each inside the cargo pocket. They do bulge and become noticeable when you sit down. Soon I do plan to get my concealed carry weapon license and as long as I don't shove a full frame size pistol in there I think I can pull it off.

Certainly with a little tailor work in the cargo pockets concealed carry could be done if necessary. It's been awhile since I had a go with a sewing machine but if I can't pull it off I bet for a decent price someone in the business can do that for me.

Behind your standard slot pockets there are additional pockets with vertical zippers. To open you pull the zipper from the bottom up. Inside each there are two small sewn in pockets to hold pistol magazines or similar sized items.

The design of these pants is very clever. They have massive amounts of cargo space, but the pockets are discreet and primarily hidden internally. I find that they offer discreet storage, and the durable cotton is comfortable in all climates.

My criticism is that the cut of the pants is simply too billowy. The design may necessitate some extra room for the internal storage, but these pants are cut for someone carrying greater padding than the waist-size would suggest.

Unless you're an Olympic sprinter or an NFL lineman, I recommend that you try a size smaller than you might normally order. If you can get the right fit, however, you're in for a treat. Practical, comfortable pants that are great for traveling.
