This bag works perfect for what I use it for.

With my 17" widescreen Lenovo ThinkPad in this pack, there is still some room for a thicker and wider laptop to fit in it.

Very sturdy, plenty of storage options while not being too cumbersome.

Finally, a tactical laptop backpack that I can travel with casually and professionally.

I am a business traveler during the week, and an outdoor enthusiast/survivalist on the weekends. Practical and durable gear storage is very imperative to me, however I need to keep a professional appearance when conducting business. This is the one backpack that has finally allowed me to cover the best of both worlds.

My primary directives for purchasing this pack was to have a very durable yet professional-looking laptop backpack that could perform for years of stuffing it under airline seating, into cab trunks, and everything else that normally beats up my packs. It needed to be a reasonable weight if I needed to wear it for long periods of time, and it needed to be comfortable on my shoulders in a suit or with a t-shirt on. It also needed to easily fit my 17" widescreen Lenovo Thinkpad with extended battery - a wide but relatively narrow laptop that has some substantial weight to it. The laptop needed to be accessed very quickly at TSA security checkpoints, so zipper functionality was necessary.. as was the ease of sliding my laptop in and out of this pack in seconds. It needed to have easy access to my leather notebook, pens, thumb drives, earbuds, and my small electronic devices I usually travel with. Last but not least... it needed to be a dual purpose bag just in case things in the world get ugly and I need a big enough yet useful enough pack to pack up some gear and hit the road. You know... ditch the laptop, grab only the necessities, and bug out. I also wanted my ultimate laptop pack to look bad-ass up close, but appear very standard from a short distance. I chose the black version of this pack to keep a more professional look, but all of my other 5.

Great bag! If you like to keep things in a certain place this is the bag for you. Using the webbing on the inside works perfect for my needs. I have tried numerous bags and this seems to be the best I've found in an every day bag.

Not to big, but gives you enough room for a couple of days if you needed it. It has enough room for 3 days easy but the compression straps make it small when you don't need the space.

The front stuff space works perfect for those days when it rains then stops and rains then stops and so on and so on and you want to stow your rain jacket.

The admin pocket is large you can carry to much stuff you don't need.

The sleeves covered with MOLLE on both sides accommodate the ESSE Junglas perfect and most all fixed blade knives would fit just fine there. They will also fit on the MOLLE inside.

The shoulder straps are comfortable and they do not slip off your shoulder when carrying one strap style like the kids. The material 5.11 used for them is nice and stable on your shoulder. The material lets air circulate on the shoulder as well as the back, minimizing that sweaty pattern on your shirt the girls love.

The orange interior panels are brighter than they look in the Internet photos I've seen and would definitely aid in being seen if lost and in need of rescue. The color also helps silhouette what you have attached to the MOLLE.

    Padded laptop sleeve
    Padded tablet sleeve
    Hydration compartment

It comes with attachment points for a hip belt. When I received the bag I realized these point will fit up to a 1 3/4" web belt, really cool.

Quality from a quality company. This is my first review. I've bought at least 100 items on Amazon and this one made me want to do a review.

I'm going to try and post a pic with comments. For some reason I cant attach it to this review.

I was unsure whether I should buy either one or the other backpack. My first attempt was to get the Rush 72, but it was too big for a daily basis use. Therefore these other two backpacks seem to have a regular size, which I would be able to carry with me everyday. The All Hazards is more expensive, I bought it in $160 while the Rush 24 was about $110 (both in black). The reasons why I chose the first one over the other were several. The All Hazards have a laptop + tablet compartment, where I can fit my 13" laptop and my minitablet, but you could perfectly fit a bigger tablet and a 15" laptop, not sure about bigger laptops, but it might work. Another reason is that this backpack unlike the Rush 24 has the "expandable" space between the main and front compartments, which you can have also on the Rush 72. Also the handle on the top from this backpack is more comfortable. The mesh compartment on the front main compartment was a plus for me because you can have all sort of arrangements. The only two things that I liked better from the 24, were that it had more pockets on the front compartment, and that it had a small top from compartment, but I fixed this by buying a pouch and attaching it to the Hazards.

The overall quality of the product is superb, just as any of the other 511 products, it seems that this backpacks can last for years. I have mine already for 2 months only, but I have no complaints so far.

Just in case you want to see more pictures of this backpack, go to the 5.11 website and there are some nice pics and vids, beware that the version of the backpack sold here, doesn't include the two "med/ammo/misc" pouches.
