I ordered this flashlight after losing my Innova T4 while on duty. I ordered because of the 90 second charge and hopefully never having to replace the flashlight again. I work nights and use this flashlight daily. The flashlight charges in 90 second as advertised! This is a huge bonus. The light is bright but not as bright as my Innova. The light is VERY light weight and easy to handle. I like the 3 way switch but I wish I could change the settings to fit my needs. I was also surprized that it came with a home charge adapter, usually a $30 add on.

Product was shipped quickly and on time. I believe it actually came a day earlier than quoted. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Used for law enforcement and took a long time to decide where and which light to get. I'm very happy with this light after a co-worker recommended it. Very lightweight so it doesn't add MORE weight to the already heavy duty belt. Unit is light and charges fast b/c uses capacitors rather than batteries which is genius idea really. It is very bright. Specifically, bought this one for the quick charge which is amazing and highly useful (just needs initial 24 hour charge the 90 sec charges thereafter). No durability or loss of power issues.

Only issue is the length over my prior light is a bit long creating a comfort issue in certain positions when wearing on the duty belt.

Used for law enforcement... Have carried the Streamlight and the Pelican 7060. This light keeps up with comparable lights. I do wish you could program this light. I would like to be able to have high output on the first click! The high and low output beam is much wider then the Pelican and Streamlight... which is great!!! Best part has to be the 90 second charge. I used to carry at least two backup lights... now were down to one! 5.11 did an amazing job with the light! Love it!!!

I first started looking at the 5.11 Light for Life after becoming frustrated with my battery powered SureFire lights. Don't get me wrong, SureFire makes an outstanding light, but it never seems to be at its peak when I need it. Add expensive CR123 batteries and my earth conscience disposition, and here we are.

Pros
* Lightweight - at 10oz it feels like a flashlight without batteries in it. Feels lighter than a G2 SureFire
* Bright - I know that it is rated at 200 lumen on high, but it is about the same as a G2 SureFire
* Recharge Cycle - It really does charge in 90 sec and is designed to be left on the charger all the time
* Sealed flashlight - since I am not changing the batteries, the seals should hold up longer
* Lifetime Warranty - rated for 50,000+ recharges and LEDs that shouldn't need to be changed
* No batteries - significantly offsets the price over time

Cons
* 1 hr life - if you are away from a charger for an extended period and need light, you will have to pack a backup
* Initial cost - it's expensive. But, you will save money over time.
* It's larger than a SureFire so it's not as easy to fit in a front pocket

All in all, a fantastic light for the home and car. If you need a light that requires a longer run time, check out a Fenix or Olight.

I first saw this flashlight as it was issued to a family member who is in law enforcement. The light is lite weight, well built and the capaciter and recharge capabilities are amazing. Having owned other high quality brand flashlights, I find no problems with this one to date.

et this light. I have shown it to law enforcement folks who had their trusty Magl-light weighing them down. They were amazed at how light the the flashlight is...Then I throw it as hard as I can on the pavement and they are astounded to see it still works. I think you could run this over with a car. As far as its "beat down" ability. I would suggest the hexagon head would do some major damage. The lightness is actually and advantage here as it can be swung faster and for a longer duration than a heavier light. Plus you don't need to flip it around like you might need to do with a Maglight beat down.

I work in law enforcement and bought this flashlight because I liked the idea of a quick recharge and the light weight. Duty belts are heavy enough and any way to reduce the brick around your belly is great. Pulling the light out of the box I was surprised at just how lightweight it really is; no heavy batteries! The light is not as bright as the Pelican lights that alot of other officers use but it's decent. If you need a REALLY bright light there are better flashlights out there but if you just need a good lightweight flashlight this will do nicely. On another note, the quick charge is great if you're camping and don't have an unlimited power supply. A quick charge with the vehicle charger or the wall socket charger for those with RVs and you're good to go.

I am in a Public Safety field. I use this everyday. I love this light! I might even get the other model too. I wish the bottom switch would not turn the light on when I sit down.

Seems ok, so far. But it's made in China! So we'll see! It's very light,is bright and does charge quickly.

This light is a great size and works as advertised. I would prefer a few more lumens, but I am very happy with it.
