Before I start off this little compressed review you should know that ALL of these game require Steam and some even require Games for Windows Live.
With that out of the way - every single one of the five included games is at least of good quality. Although I haven't played some of them in a while (rest assured, I did beat them all already), I will try to give you a rundown of each title in this bundle.
Toy Soldiers is a single player only strategy tower defense hybrid that has hundreds of plastic toy soldiers take on umm... Other plastic toy soldiers. There are plenty of levels and even bosses. There is also a (very) light RPG element thanks to all the upgrades you can (and will) have. My biggest complaint about Toy Soldiers is that it uses Games for Windows Live.
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is a fun little shooter game that is a mix of Metroid and Awesome... So that's like double the awesome because Metroid is pretty awesome in and of itself. Unlike the previous game, there are some cool multiplayer components.
Great environmental designs and just weird looking enemies, as well as plenty of ship upgrades keep the otherwise OK gameplay pretty interesting. Once again, my biggest complaint is the inclusion of GFWL.
Iron Brigade - Another Tower Defense game, and probably the weakest one in this bundle. What sets this apart (other than a mobile commander unit) is that you can clear it co-op with a friend. Once again, GFWL is required.
Deadlight - Aaaah, now THIS is a fun single player only game.Read more ›
Deadlight- Alright game, probably the weakest of the bunch. Kind of like "Limbo" or "Shadow Complex" with zombies and annoying voice acting. But it doesn't have as creative puzzles and game play as either of those games. Still fun though.
Mark of the Ninja- This is the best of the pack I think. Its like "Shank" but stealthy. It has some great mechanics and is consistently addicting. Great little stealth game.
Toy Soldiers- It's a pretty basic tower defense but you can control what you build. Its a solid title but I haven't played too much of it.
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet- This game is pretty awesome. Old School Metroid but your in a spaceship and you have to use all your tools to on your spaceship to progress. I like it, fun game for sure.
Iron Brigade- This is from Double-Fine, the people behind Psychonauts and Brutal Legend. It is also a tower defense and I personally like it more then Toy Soldiers. You get to control a Mech that you can customize the body, weapons, paint job, and a bunch more on.
So there you have it. I would strongly suggest getting this pack.
Anyway, get this bundle. You will thank yourself later.
Deadlight is a beautiful post-apocalyptic game. The voice acting is a bit corny and the difficulty levels uneven. Most of the game is fair and fun but a very few parts require such precision that it gets annoying. Overall fun though.
Mark of the Ninja is an excellent stealth game. Also very beautiful and very polished.
I played all of these a controller, can't say what keyboard/mouse controls are like.
Purchase it at 10 bucks and be happy.
If you can purchase it at 5 bucks be sure and spend the 5 bucks you saved on a cheap bottle of wine before you play any of these AWESOME games. Wow THANKS AMAZON!!!!!
I am not really sure where why I received a 5 dollar credit but try it!!!!!
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is also a good shooter/adventure hybrid. It plays well, looks nice, and is a meaty enough game. Unfortunately I had a lot of issues with its implementation of the Games for Windows Live service. Multiplayer straight up did not work, and the last couple times I tried to play, it wouldn't let me sign in to the service. So I shelved it. Still a good game however.
Headlight is a 2-d sidescrolling shooter that's a bit of fun. Though I ultimately found it pretty repetitive. It is pretty fun while it lasts though.
Lastly, Toy Soldiers and Iron Brigade are both tower defense games that play differently, but honestly I didn't play much of either. Now both games are good, and I'm sure fans of the genre would like emotional. But I'm just not a fan of these games, and I got bored of them quickly.
In spite of me being down on some of the games in the pack, overall it's a good selection of games. Only thing that truly marred the pack for me was the implementation of GFWL. That service just plain doesn't work much of the time, and there's a reason why it was reviled by most gamers. Microsoft has quietly done away with new implementation of the service, but for the games that still use it, it's a necessary evil.

Very good value for the game pack. Mark of the Ninja is an absolutely fabulous game on its own, making the pack a great value.Published 10 months ago by Roderic Rinehart

These games may be ok for those who like side scrolling games. They are just ok in my opinion. Sorry, I like the open AI games with higher graphics and the freedom to move around... Read morePublished 19 months ago by Tammy
