Absolutely a necessity
This book is great for me as a FNP in the fast tract of the ED. It is fast, easy and concise. It works great in my Blackberry. A must have for anyone in family medicine and with the ability to put on a blackberry or pda it is a great resource at your fingertips.

Surprise!! Index "off by a few pages"
I bought this directly from a sales person at a CME meeting--it would have been nice if he had told me that there was an Erratum inside the cover stating that the index WAS WRONG and cut me a large deal on the book. No algorithm or 5-Minute entry at all for abdominal pain, acute headache, nephrolithiasis, thyroid nodule or goiter among many other common...

I bought this directly from a sales person at a CME meeting--it would have been nice if he had told me that there was an Erratum inside the cover stating that the index WAS WRONG and cut me a large deal on the book.
No algorithm or 5-Minute entry at all for abdominal pain, acute headache, nephrolithiasis, thyroid nodule or goiter among many other common entities. Unlike Ferri, no specific dosages of migraine meds, just general therapeutics so have another reference handy. If you want good algorithms for common problems check out "Common Medical Diagnoses: An Algorithmic Approach."
