As an avid reader of self-help type books, I was suprised how interesting I found this one to be. Chris seams to have a knack to take some of the most mundane and boring info, and somehow make it personal and somewhat compelling. I especially like how he used himselh and his family to make you think about your own situation. If you use just one of his strageties, I think the book should pay for itself, All in all nice first effort, hopefully we will read more in the future.

With so many books out there today about taking control of your finances, this book really delivers. Chris Hendrickson has managed to make the subject matters that are usually hard to digest very enjoyable to read.

I found the book very manageable since there is a clear action plan for success to turn any situation around. I have read many of the books out there on personal finances, but many of the other books are heavy in theory and light in action items.

This book is not only for people in debt, but also people who don't ever want to be in debt! Our country would be in a much better place right now if "The 5-Minute Debt Solution" was taught in schools around the world.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book from cover to cover. I should admit that I did not stop to do the practical exercises, when I was reading it, but then I went back and started completing the worksheets.

This book provides an excellent structured approach to debt reduction. Being an accountant and a business educator myself, I love using Excel models for planning and this work book will become very useful in both planning and monitoring.

I also liked the way Chris has included the psychology aspect in the book to get the commitment. I also liked the down-to-earth and humble style of writing.

If you WANT to (only if YOU want to) reduce your debts and live a debt free life, this book is for you. The techniques here are not complicated and hard to follow. You just have to read the book and do the exercises. What you need is commitment.

The book was better than I expected because it was much more than just about getting out of debt; it gave excellent advice on developing a financial plan and getting your financial life organized.

Unless you can declare bankruptcy then debts just don't go away and this terriffic book gives you a blueprint to tackle your debt problem step by step and then move towards financial freedom. Especially helpful were pros and cons of the different ways of getting out from under your debt (debt consolidation for example), and the author explaining his CREDiT method for debt elimination.
Chris Hendrickson has an excellent easy writing style with a lot of personal examples. This book has the perfect mixture of psychology, motivation and logical step by step plan for your future financial freedom.

Although an avid reader my genre's tend to be Romance and Fantasy and I worried that while trying to help myself to get out of my debt I would be bored silly with the dry subject matter. This book proved me wrong completely. This book was an easy read and I learned so much. I read the book without doing the exercises first and now am going back thru it to do the exercises. I am eagerly looking forward to being debt free. And after reading this book I have no doubt it can and will happen. Thank You so much for a great book.

You may have heard that debt is a big problem these days. If you are one of the many who is being over-whelmed by more dollars going out than are coming in, or if you are in a holding pattern of just not being able to make headway on your debt, then this book is for you. It is very comprehensive, easy to read and lays out a simple plan to help you crawl out of the financial hole you may be in. Even if you are not in debt it is a valuable treatise on how to run your financial life - pity the governments of the West haven't used this gem.

The book containes information that is practical and it is presented in a way that is easily understood. I have applied the process with success. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to getting out of debt in an accelerated period of time.
