About the Author

Barbara Lhotan, better known as the "Personal Trainer" for stylists, is a National Educator for John Paul Mitchell Systems as well as Director of Education for Renaissance Salon in Smithtown, New York. She has done work during Fashion Week in New York City for designers Nicole Miller, Joan Vass, Carmen Marc and Shoshanna Lonstein. Barbara has trained "hands-on" with world renowned hairdressers Robert Cromeans, Jeanna Braa, Floyd Kenyatta, Donald Scott, John Paul Mitchell Styling Team, Sheila Gomez and countless others.

Louis Salvati has been involved in the hair industry for almost 30 years. He is a stylist who became a salon owner 20 years ago and has been involved in salon education for the past seven years. Louis is currently employed at Robert of Philadelphia in Naples, Florida where he teaches education at their five salons as well as maintaining his own private educational classes. Louis is presently in the process of developing his own design team, Salon Salvati.
