Love the format, love the size (small and portable), love the space (although you have to cut to the chase), can't wait to finish a year out and be able to look back and see what I was doing a year to the day before. That particular feature makes it very motivating to write every day; I've had the "fill in the blanks" diaries before, but I always lost interest.

My aunt had been looking forever for a 5 year diary, decided to go online to see what I could find and found this one. She had specifics she wanted in a diary and that was a few lines for each day not a whole page and the fact that she could look back at previous years and see what had happened. She could not of been happier and all in all a wonderful choice for her. Very happy with Amazon and the order we placed.

I ordered this book to write down the funny things my 3 year old son does and says. It is a small pocket size book. Although, it is too thick to put in your pocket. It is a perfect book to write a quick little story. There are only a few lines, so you can't write a lot of information. My only fault with the book is that the bidding is way too tight. It does not lie flat when you write, and therefore you can't take full advantage of the entire line. Other than that it is perfect for my intended use.

I highly recommend this diary: 5 years on one page allows you to see exactly what you were up to on the same day in previous years - the concept is very smart. I bought one for my brother and sisters at Christmas.

This is great diary! I've been using it for almost a year now. The little paper tree-trunk design is really just an insert sort of deal, and it got annoying to keep on so I just threw it away. The diary itself is very sturdy, and the paper is think and easy to write on. I use a fountain pen on the paper and there is no bleed-through. When I use gel-based inks, however, the pages do take a couple of seconds to dry, so I either leave the book open for a bit or blot off excess ink to prevent little ink dots on the opposing page. Otherwise, this is a great buy, especially for under $15. I plan on getting a couple of these as gifts.

When I bought this, I was wanting a 5 year journal that looked cute and didn't have prompts for what you were to write about each day. (like "what made you happy today?") I believe that I have found it in this journal. First off, I love the size of the book. It is small enough and not so thick that I have trouble taking it on trips and it doesn't take up a huge portion of my nightstand. The cover isn't super thick which makes it easy to open the pages up to write in, but it is thick enough to feel like it isn't going to tear up next week. The pages also have a good feel to them. One of my favorite things about this journal is the design of the pages. The font and page layout are designed to look like library book check out cards. The first page has a place for your name, address, and other information. There is also a spot for you to mark what day you began the journal. I appreciated this feature because I didn't start mine on Jan 1, but in October.
Each of the days is marked with "Month Day 20__" and you'll have to add the day of the week if you want. For each day there is about six lines for you to write on, which gives me enough room to briefly recap the day or my thoughts on a particular subject. I can write an entry in a minute or two, which is great because most evenings I don't have a lot of time to write. On the same page, there are four other sections for the same day so you can easily see what you were doing that day in years past. The last few pages of the book were a pleasant surprise to me. One page is titled "books I've read" with columns for the title and author. Another page is a "places I've been" where you can write your travel destinations down. Plus, they provide you with a map of the world, so you can mark with a dot where you went.... Read more ›

I really love the entire idea of a multi-year journal and this particular version is fantastic! First off, no longer will your multi-year journal look like a phone book or a vintage family bible that weighs as much as a bowling ball. This journal is compact and will fit in any bag. . . I daresay it may even fit in some guy's pockets. (Why do guys get such big pockets anyway?) I know, I know right about now you're thinking, "Well if it's so small, how will I write down all my thoughts and feelings?" Answer? You won't! (Yes, exclamation point. This is actually a good thing, just wait!) Instead of babbling for pages and pages (kind of like I'm doing now) you are forced to get to the point and really evaluate and reflect upon your days. No longer will you have a journal full of fluff. You will begin to realize and appreciate your days for what they really are. Then, for the next four years you can see exactly what you were going through on that day without scrounging around the house for other journals you may have kept.
Two additional features I really love is the brief book log in the back and the travel log/map.

This would be a tiny journal if it were a regular journal, as a five-year where each page is divided in five... you could put one sentence per day, at best.
