I was just not impressed with this lamp from a stylistic perspective. First, it looks silver in the picture and I was shocked to open the box and find that the lamp is 100% gold. Also, the base is an eyesore...make sure you have a strategy for hiding it behind other furniture. Overall, it was just not what I expected and I ended up reselling it.

The lamps was packaged nicely and its easy to assemble. Take note - it does not use standard size bulbs. It uses small bulbs and they come with it. Don't waste your money buying other bulbs for this lamp. Also the bulbs provided are not soft white so there is a lot of glare. If you follow the information under items FREQUENTLY BOUGHT TOGETHER and you purchase the flurescent bulbs you will get bulbs with a standard base and they will NOT fit into the sockets on the lamps. Don't waste your time buying those bulbs.

This could be a great lamp. We were very excited when we bought it. And indeed it does a great job lighting up the room. The only trouble is that the one we received was broken. The bottom part of the lamp that screws into the base is supposed to be welded on but it snapped off when we tried to screw it in. We would return it but the box the lamp arrived in was actually several boxes taped together, (and they used a LOT of tape) so they got shredded when we opened it. It would be impossible to securely reconstruct the box. It's easier for us to find someone with welding capabilities to fix it. We tried fixing it ourselves with glue and duct tape but it was too heavy. We have a toddler and it's too dangerous to rig up precariously. It needs to be welded. Furthermore, we purchased it to light our dining room for Thanksgiving and now it might not be ready in time. Such is the risk of buying things online, I suppose. It seems like it would be a great lamp if it arrived in tact. But ours did not.

We found this exact lamp at a furniture store for 4 times the price of this one and it is the same quality! The lamp is amazing and looks so good behind our sectional!

Great quality and $70 less than one found at another well known retailer. Easy to put together and gives great light over my sectional. The dimmer switch is really nice feature. Very stable, sleek and clean lines. The rubber base was a little scuffed up, but it is mostly under the sofa anyway.

This lamp works great, and just what I expected. I set up against the wall, behind my couch and it produces enough light to fill the room, and not over glaring to effect the tv. Shipping was easy, and the setup was easy too.

The lamp was a good buy for the money. The only thing is the base of the lamp. My wife and I both said if we had known the base was black, we would not have brought it. The base takes away from the looks of the lamp. It should have had a chrome or nickel colored base. It is impossible to pack it up and send it back, because the packing material is cheap and tore up when unpacked. Now we're stuck with a lamp we don't care for.

I've purchased this lamp more than once from different sources at different prices. This lamp is the same that I've both paid for and seen for up to 4 times the price. I've purchased it from more expensive sources for furnished model homes, and I found this seller for much less...it's the SAME lamp! This less expensive, but same lamp, sits in my own media room. Buy it.

The quality of the lamp is excellent and assembly was very easy. The height of the lamp is taller than I expected from the picture, but I'm happy with the light coverage it provides. The price was very good as well.

Love it, lamp is better then expected. Packaging was poor and I thought the lamp might be damaged, but it was easy to but together, not broken and looks great!
