The story behind this game is basically this: 50 Cent & crew go across seas to take on a bunch of terrorists and steal back what that was taken from them. Yeah...not happenin! HOWEVER...as hokey and unreal as the plot may be, it's still hella fun shooting baddies and kickin @$$ with 50 Cent & crew! The mechanics of the game are are legit and the control is overall pretty tight. The action & game play are pretty fun...lots of cool shooting and @$$ whooping throughout. Any run of the mill shooter fan would have an enjoyable time with this game. It's maybe not as advanced as a lot of your war shooters out there & what have you, but it's still pretty cool, and utilizes the cover combat system, similar to that found in Gears of War, which works very well. All in all this isn't your most advanced, mind blowing shooter, but it still is a lot of fun...definite replay value and worthy of recollecting in my opinion!

If youre looking for a simple shootem up game with blood, lots of guns, and lots of swearing, then look no further. You play as 50 and you choose either Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, or DJ Whoo Kid as a sidekick. This game loses points for not being able to play 2 players co-op unless the other player is someone online, so you always find yourself passing the controller if more than one person in the room wants to play. Also there are no trophies in this game and the graphics are only okay. If you can look past those cons, then this is a really fun game full of surprises, and endless gun play. I'd rate this game 4 out of 5 stars.

Game graphics are ok, but concept is so fake. I mean, Fifty is driving tanks, firing all sorts of high-tech machinery, and the story line is just plain weak. He's the best looking character. The others (especially the women) just look too flat and angular. Not like real people at all. There are some great soundtracks though. Some stuff I've never heard before. It's an average game, but I wouldn't buy it again.

50 Cent Blood on the Sand Review,

This game plays like a mixture of Uncharted, and Army of Two; with a lot of 50 Cent music from his first 3 albums embedded into the game; you can turn off the song tracks to just have the instrumental versions of the songs play instead. Also there is a grading system you get at the end of some check points that grade you by obtaining bronze, silver, and gold by getting the highest score and this is achievable by collecting posters that are sprawled on the walls of the buildings, also by shooting random targets that are discretly hidden through out the levels, and by completing certain objectives while you play the game. The highlights would be the unlockable weapons, unlockable melee moves, and taunts that are purchased by the games money system.
This game would be considered an average third person shooter by many, since it is in no way a triple A title. There is noticably a lot of polish that needs to be put into this game to make it so, the voice acting can be off at times, the character animations are archiac, and the sound effects from guns can go from amazing to mediocre, also your partners AI is abysmal since he would just stand there in the middle of fire fights to the point where he'll get in the way of you shooting at enemies, another thing to add is that there isn't any variety of enemies at everyone would wear the same color of shirts based on the type of gun he is using, one last thing is that while the rest of the game has vibrant colors and vivid explosions, the last 2 levels seemed washed out as if this game was rushed and the last few levels are the lost levels that just got tacked on at the last minute. Although very fun, dispite some common annoyances, it is sad to see beyond that this is a quick cash in on the 50 Cent/G Unit franchise since the developers didn't include trophies in the American/ UK versions of the game but released a patch update for the Japanese version, which would added a lot of replay value to the game, instead of just the substandard unlockables which are new 50 Cent music tracks to unlock, 50 Cent music videos, and level art concepts which are all achievable by getting high scores through out the game. End review: B- for better than Bulletproof.

Now I could tell you this is on the same level as Gears of War, Resistance, Killzone or any other big run and gun franchise BUT that would be a lie. This game is the equivalent to those big dumb action films. The kind of affair with a paper thin plot that leaves you with just enough motivation to a dumb couple million rounds in somebody's... well you know. The game is pure absurdity but that's what adds to it's charm. It's just an arcade shoot em' up. Now I'll admit it isn't rewriting the book on gunplay and action games but it serves it's purpose... it's cheap, fun and entertaining. Now there isn't multiple modes to enjoy or a lot of replay value but what were you expecting for this bargain bin find. To rap this up neatly this is like playing a third person perspective version of the Time Crisis Series. Now this is not for everyone [profanity] but it was a nice, breezy change of speed from more of my challenging games. Worth at least a rental.

I purchased this merely as a joke. so my friends could see my status as "...is playing 50 cent blood on the sand" and so they could see it in my trophy list....BUUUUT, sadly the US version doesnt have trophies. but as far as the look of the game, it looks decent, beat my expectations, and its actually fun/funny the dialogue is hilarious. i have only played for an hour or so but the game is as you would expect and a little more...it is fun and has fun combos and challenges, the only down side is the lack of trophies.

Very disappointing, especially since Amazon's product description states there are 1-2 players offline and co-op can be played locally. Sucks.
The game itself however, isn't too bad. |
