5.0 out of 5 stars 50 Cent Blood on the Sand is a Must Buy!
I bought 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand the day it was released. And I must say that it was a solid purchase.

From the moment I opened the package and slipped the disc into my Xbox 360, I was drawn into the action. Simply put, I just could not stop playing, not even for dinner.

3.0 out of 5 stars OMG this is actually a fun good game
This game shouda been called gears of 50 cent, the game play has a likeness to gears of war, if you (and your freinds that will make fun of you) look past this being a 50 cent game you will have a great time. This game is like a dumb 80's action movie dont look for deph here but for a good time its a great buy.

This review is from: 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand (Video Game)
I bought 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand the day it was released. And I must say that it was a solid purchase.

From the moment I opened the package and slipped the disc into my Xbox 360, I was drawn into the action. Simply put, I just could not stop playing, not even for dinner.

The game does have a built in map, via an on screen pointer system that is very efficient and trustworthy. In other words, I found it very hard to get lost in this game.

The only thing I did not like about this game is the almost excessive use of language. I would have preferred if THQ had included a feature where I could censor the langauage, but since this was not an option, I was forced to play the game with my head phones on whenever my 7-year old was around.

But with great graphics, sound effects, and new hard hitting tracks from 50 Cent and his G Unit, as well as straight on solid controls, this game has been much improved over it's "Bulletproof" predecessor.

All-in-all, this game was a MUST buy, and a solid addition to my Xbox 360 collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Club presents:The Adventures of 50 Cent, March 16, 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand (Video Game)
If you've played the Club before then you will see the similarity in this game. It's like the Club with a sequel featuring 50 Cent in an actual adventure/story mode. The gameplay and some of the task/missions are just like the Club. From similar killing combos to finding the hidden bullseye targets during the levels. The Graphics are actually pretty sweet if you play it in HD. There's tons of cussing during gameplay and during cinemas. Wouldn't be 50 if it wasn't. Not a serious storyline but a decent one if it were a low budget "B" movie. I don't know if 50 had any part to do with the story or not, but if he did it seems like to me maybe he picked up some of the idea from the movie Home of The Brave that he starred in. But anyway the controls are pretty good. You may notice a few Gears of War moves used in the game (recovering your partner, vehicle stage) Army of Two weapon upgrade. (What, No pimped out weapons?) and a few up close battles from the bourne conspiracy game. The up close fights were not as advanced as the bourne conspiracy but similar. Overall it's a good action game to pick up for anyone who has mastered Gears of War or The Club and has a itchy finger to pull a trigger. This would be the game to play until a better 3rd person shooter comes out. Even better if you can find it on sale cheaper than $50. A good 3rd person action shooter worth looking into.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Game..., June 5, 2009

i Liked Bulletproof for xbox...this game is kind of Exactly the same. the shooting is Arcade (think The Club/Gears of War) but its just FUN to shoot through the levels with a partner Online in CO-OP mode...which does add to the games Replay and Overall Value. the music fits the action perfectly. if your a Fan of 50 cents music, youll love it. i think the MUSIC tied into the experience of the game is what makes it slightly better than Some arcade shooting games out there. one thing i DIDNT like about the game is the hand to hand fighting sequences...which are Very Slow...this is VERY noticeable when playing CO-OP and watching your partner engage in the Slowest fist fight youv ever seen take place in your life. but like i said, thats the Only issue i found with it. overall, this is a Fun, Casual shooting game you can just pick up and play. if your into Rap Music and Arcade Shooting Games, you should definitely Try this game out. IMO, its up there with Gears of War, Call Of Duty and the like...and slightly more Fun than those titles as well.

iLL .

I bought this game because I was deployed and needed something new and the selection was slim. I found it for $9.97 American. Which is not bad. I bought this thinking it was not going to be that great. But I was wrong. It is definetly fun.

If you like the following two factors you will like this game.

1.)If you liked Gears of War and or Army of two you will like the gameplay.
2.)If you like 50 cent music or the hip-hop scene you will enjoy the storyline.

Its a game definetly worth finishing. I am not sure on the re-play value though.

This game is a lot of fun. It's senseless in the most part, but that's part of its fun and charm. I'm not even a huge 50 Cent fan, but even so, the soundtrack for the game is great. The inclusion of a taunt button was just fantastic and helps make the game even better. Playing online with friends so far has been a great time. Possibly the only complaint is that the game can be pretty short, especially when playing with a friend. I haven't tried out hard-mode, yet, but I'm hoping that it can add some more time to the game while playing online.

The price should have dropped enough to be within anyone's price range, and the game is just a bunch of fun. Well worth the price now.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of My Favorite Games, July 17, 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand (Video Game)
This game was surprisingly good!!! It's an all out shootout with you controlling 50 Cent the whole way through. Play online multiplayer and your friends can take control of the other members of the G Unit Crew. One of my favorite parts of the game was you unlock 50 Cent's music throughout the game. The music plays in the background, but the end of this game I was like "Bitch get in my Car" :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Highly underrated Third person shooter., February 11, 2010

Personally I'm not a fan of 50cent or his music, but one thing shines through and that is that the developers of this game have real talent. The shooting is fun, the game is well paced. The shooting and aiming controls are so good in fact that you would think IW lent a helping hand. So if you call your self a fan of tps's and this being one of the best this gen has to offer then you should give BOTS a chance.
The only downer is that there is only co-op multiplayer and zero vs., this game would be amazingly fun if it had online vs modes just because of how well it controls.

4.0 out of 5 stars A pleasant surprise, April 14, 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand (Video Game)
Given how badly the original game was reviewed, I was pleasantly surprised by this game. It has Gears of War type controls and cover system. There's a little bit of the Army of 2 co-op action going on.

I thought it looked great, played smoothly, has an exciting arcade feel as the scores pop up. It doesn't take itself too seriously and neither should you. Just gave a good time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wow should this game really be this fun?, July 26, 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand (Video Game)
Let me start off by saying I'm not a fan of 50 Cent nor someone who usually listens to rap. I've also never played the first 50 Cent game Bulletproof. I picked up the game because it was cheap and I really didn't expect much but wanted something to keep me occupied for a few hours. Most the reviews I read gave the game low scores because of it's repetitive dialog, over the top unrealistic story, and because of the overly excessive foul language. In my opinion none of these really hurt the game much other than some of the occasional sexist remarks which my wife wasn't too fond of hearing.

The game really is unrealistic as far as story goes. 50 Cent is somewhere like Iraq or Afghanistan doing a concert and for his pay to be there he gets paid with a diamond encrusted skull. Some terrorists attack 50 and steal the skull. 50 Cent gets mad and decides he's going to take on every one who gets in the way of him getting the skull back. You play as 50 Cent and have one of the members of G-Unit playing with you such as Tony Yayo or Lloyd Banks controlled by the computer. There is a multi-player option, but it is online co-op only and will allow someone else to join your game, or you can join theirs and play as the G-Unit side-kick.

The gameplay and controls will be familiar to most people who've played recent first person shooter games such as Gears of War and Call of Duty. Blood on the Sand actually includes a duck and cover system similar to Gears of War. There is also somewhat of a melee (hand to hand) fighting system you can choose to use but all you do is press B when prompted. The melee (hand to hand fighting) is the weakest part of the fighting and I personally just avoid using it all together. Most the time you will use one of several dozen hand guns, machine guns, bazookas, RPGs, grenades, or countless other weapons to fight off oncoming terrorists.

There are plenty of weapons to choose from and unlock as you play through the game. Along the way you will find hidden things such as targets and posters that will unlock some things and provide bonuses at the end of each chapter. You will also collect money from those you kill as well as from breaking certain crates and finding hidden areas in levels that you can use later to buy and unlock more weapons, melee attacks, and even taunts that are rated by how explicit they are.

The music is basically a slew of 50 Cent and G-Unit songs which unlock as you play through the game. It does allow you to go back and listen to any song you've already heard if you just want to hear a specific track. You can also somehow unlock full 50 Cent music videos to watch from the main menu of the game. Everything I've heard dialog and music-wise all sound unedited to my ears. There will be plenty of N-words, F-bombs, M-F'ers, and all your favorite cuss words which may offend some. Luckily there is a sound option to turn up and down the volume to the music and dialog if you are easily offended or just tired of hearing it.

The game controls handle really well, are very responsive, and the graphics are better than I expected. The story line is so ridiculously over the top that it almost is a self-parody of rap music. The violence is through the roof, and the language is spewing every few seconds. The entertainment value and laughs the game provides are aplenty if you're an easy going person who can let loose and laugh at the absurdity of the game and everything happening. The game is by no means worth the $60 MSRP but if you can get it for $20 or less, you're bound to be able to get your money's worth out of the game. It is a game most people could beat if they rented it, but you might need to play through a few times if you plan to find every hidden target or poster to fully unlock everything and all the achievements.

It's actually a fun game but one to keep away from your young kids. Give it a try if you like FPS games, it really might surprise you with the great controls and over the top everything. Those looking for a in depth serious FPS shooter should look into another game.

I purchased this game as a Christmas present for my son. He enjoys it very much. I don't play video games myself, but my son loves it. I would recommend this game for older children, since it is rated mature.
