These CD were originally advertised on the TV. I thought they only selected the best tracks to promote them with but liked the tracks so I purchased them anyway. To my surprise, every track was great and the entire collection is a real keeper. I have since purchased two more sets for gifts and the recipients love them too. Well worth the money. Great buy.

Even though it's got the "as seen on TV" label on it, I figured I'd pick this up since the reviews were good. I can't give it a 5 star rating since the audio quality could be better. Not that it's poor, it's just not as good as the classic mixes that are on the highly-recommended lists. But then, don't get nearly as much as is packed on this set for $10. It's a really good survey of classical, a lot of standards on here, and for the most part, they're recorded/mixed very well. I doubt anyone will like everything on here, but you'll definitely get your $10 worth with this collection.

This music is wonderfully relaxing and I recommend it to anyone who loves the classics.

Too many of the selections are ANTI-relaxing - some are agitating! I returned this set. There are other CD sets with far better selections for relaxation.

I have trouble sleeping and don't care to take prescription medications, my Dr. suggested I listen to soothing music to relax and perhaps that might help me sleep. This music did just that. I drift off and if I wake up I just hit the button on my CD player and drift off again. I have been a life-long insomniac and this is great for a reasonable night's sleep. It even seems to help my dogs!

I guess people's definition of "relaxing" is not quite universal. I was looking for something calming and perhaps even something to play while I was dropping off to sleep. This is not it. Many of the selections may have "relaxing" segments, but often they have rousing segments in the same selection. So, just as I am nodding off, whoosh, I am wide awake again.

In addition to the rousing segments, this CD has very poor audio quality. Reminds me of the old monotone 45 singles or 33 lp albums from my childhood. The vocals on the #9 and #10 selections on the first disc had the sound of an off pitch church choir--truly irritating and not at all calming.

If you are looking for music to relax and perhaps sleep by, either a spa-like, slow jazz, or Gregorian chant CD would be better choices. But...make sure the audio quality it good, or it will grate on your nerves.

The reasons for 3 stars and not lower? Well, it really was quite inexpensive, so at less than 20 cents a tune, I guess you can't expect too much.

I could get all long winded here. But unlike me, I will let my title of this review speak for itself. Don't want to get myself all worked up again right? :-)

Actually, never thought I would ever live to see the day I could ever even listen to 2 minutes of this type music. And almost didn't. That said, I have to admit it has really been a joy to "discover" all I have been missing. And to also discover how much on TV and in advertising has been a rip off of true classical music! Live (thank God) and learn I guess....You just can't beat this for the money. Cheaper than a hospital bill too.

I love this CD, great relaxation and soft sounds. I work nights and this CD really helps me enough to relax and sleep during the day.

As a massage therapist, music is an important component in setting a relaxing 'tone' for a massage session. I have been very pleased with the selections presented on this CD, and my clients who enjoy classical music have appreciated it very much. Seller delivered product very quickly, as promised.

This CD was not relaxing at all. It has quite a few pieces of very loud and upbeat music. It is not a good quality recording either. There were also places where the musicians were playing out of tune or too loud! This is not a quality product.
