This is a great guide! It's information is accurate and directions are very good. I have taken 8 of these hikes and found the book an invaluable reference and fun to read.

Haven't been out west yet to try out Ray's advice, but I have really enjoyed the book. His sense of humor is engaging and the books is casually written, but interesting and informative.

This is my third copy of the Cosmic Ray book; the other copies have been "borrowed" and not returned. The maps are amusing, and it fits into a jacket pocket pretty easy...Good book if you like a cartoon type picture.
