This book was very disappointing and definitely not one to select as a ready reference for rainy day activities. There are no patterns for any of the projects and the instructions are of little value. The butterflies look the same as the wings. If you have a slightly varied age group, the projects are too abstract. There are many, many other art / craft books that are...

Proffered activities range from making paper butterflies and snowflakes to three-dimensional gumdrop and toothpick sculptures and simple posters. An excellent book for rainy-day afternoons, 50 Great Make-it Take-it Projects is a first-rate source book for budding young artists and inquisitive minds.
