The screen is polyester, the filter is very heavy paper. It holds shape well and and does a great job of screening paint/stain/finishes. I test by wasting a little regular paint and putting various types of sawdust in it and then straining. It took out all the regular sawdust and the only thing left behind was some powdered graphite - which is as fine as talcum powder and won't gum or clog even an air brush.These things are worth the money - buy a bundle.

I use this for straining my House Of Kolors paint and primer before I put it in the guns. What can I say it works great. I was even able to clean it off and use it again.
