A beautiful book with wonderful pictures of Acurio's cooking and the produce at the heart of Peruvian cooking. Note that the CD in the back of the book contains a glossary of ingredients as well as recipes for every recipe in the book. If you buy used, be sure you get the CD.
After asking in about a dozen bookstores in Lima, I saw only two other copies for sale - both at bookstores in the international departures section of Jorge Chavez airport.
I waited over a year to get my hands on this book and it was impossible to find as it was released in limited quantity in latin america. Once you see it, you will why it was named best book in the world at the madrid conference, as well as why gaston has taken the Nova Andina cuisine to another level. If your serious about cooking and latin-asian styles of cooking and ingredients. Find it, and buy it.
