I bought this book to give me ideas for vacations with my wife and family. The idea is terrific. However, the execution is poor. For example, it lists Williamsburg, Va. under historic areas, without mentioning the nearby Busch Gardens and water park that makes this (with a pass to visit anywhere, any day- like a disneyworld pass) a fabulous family vacation.
All destinations have the same one paragraph descriptions, no ratings, no extra space given for extra special destinations, NO PICTURES. I hope someone takes this idea and does it justice. There are so many people out there looking for ideas and destinations. This book is at best, a list of potential destinations. Lots of homework on your part would be needed to figure out which would be worth vacationing to. |
