For those of you who have seen 500 Days of Summer, this shooting script helps complete the experience? Is it essential? no. Is it spectacularly compelling? yes. The script provides incite into the characters in an intriguing way and it is very cool to see a deconstruction of a film. Reading the script, then watching the movie provides a measure of appreciation to what is accomplished by film makers. The introduction by the writers and directors also provides some nice incite. Overall, this is a purchase for a fan of the film and it wouldn't hurt if you have a general interest in film anyway. A must have for aspiring screenwriters and actors.

This is great for someone who dreams of writing a screenplay. The book is the actual shooting script for the movie. A great example of what a working screenplay looks like. The perfect gift. If you or someone you know is an aspiring writer, check out this series.
