2.0 out of 5 stars Just Use Common Sense Instead, December 18, 2000
By
Stephen M Theobald (Cincinnati, OH United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 500 Tips for Trainers (Paperback)
The title is compelling simple, and the book is even simpler. "Learn people's names", "Arrive on time", "Don't write too small". You don't really need a book for this. If you do, well.....you probably shouldn't be in this business. Sorry.

3.0 out of 5 stars Perhaps the 500 need to be distilled somewhat.., February 10, 2002
This review is from: 500 Tips for Trainers (Paperback)
This is a good resource for the beginning trainer and as a reminder/memory jogger for the rest of us who `take it for granted'. However, some of the tips are just too obviouse even for the absolute novice (as pointed out below).

The tips are arranged into categories:
1)Planning & Preparation.
2) getting Participants Going.
3) Using Things Around You.
4) Keeping your Training Sessions Going.
5) Looking after Yourself.
6) Evaluating your Training Sessions.

I'm a long time trainer. Lots of ideas and much validation for existing practices. Some of the material is now dated
