Customer Reviews

The poker chips are great, great quality.
Stephanie Martinez
The work around is that it does come with a set of keys to keep the case locked, but the lock is flimsy and locks after you shake the key around several times.
Andy P.
Anyways, these are great for poker nights with friends.

I bought this set, with knowledge of other types of chips available, material, weight, and quality of poker chips. I have thoroughly researched poker chips and decided on a cheap set since I'm not a serious poker player and wanted to just have fun.

PROS
- Chips feel and sound solid.
- Great price for what you're getting. It's 500 chips, with the right amount of each, comes with cards, dice, and the standard dealer button. The "aluminum case" holds the chips for storing away.

CONS
- Inconsistency of chip sizes. When shrink wrapped, a pack of 50 chips for one stack is either smaller or bigger than another stack. I thought I did not get all 500 chips, but everything is there. The chips, when compared one on one, are almost identical, however, when stored away, you can clearly tell there is an inconsistency in size.
- Cheap cards. I did not expect the cards to be of good quality, but I bought it disregarding the cards. They are thin, have a very cheap coating, and if bent, will crack and leave a good crease that is noticeable.
- Aluminum case is not durable. When I opened the case, the molding at the bottom used to hold the chips cards and dice was cracked, bent, and not in good condition. BE AWARE: this case is not meant to be carried around for a long period of time or to be handled roughly. It is scary to carry the case around because since the total weight of the chips is pretty heavy, the latch on the case does not click into place. The work around is that it does come with a set of keys to keep the case locked, but the lock is flimsy and locks after you shake the key around several times.

For the price, the chips are excellent. Don't know if they are regulation weight, but they feel, sound and play nicely. The set is quite heavy, (13 lbs total shipping weight) the case, handle and locks are a bit flimsy considering the weight of the chips. Fortunately, I won't be doing any traveling with them. Just use care if you have to carry them about. Probably unnecessary, but I lock the latches of the case for added peace of mind. The chips get 5 stars, but case only gets 3.

I purchased these chips three months ago and have been using them about once a week ever since. The chips themselves seem fine. Today, however, I noticed that one of the latches which holds the case closed was bent and no longer latched properly. I bent it back into shape, but it's distressing how easily the piece bends out of and in to the correct shape. If you plan on traveling with these chips, beware that the case is not sturdy.

This Poker Chip Set is great, the chips weight is good and the little dice detail give to the chips a really cool style.

Highly recommended to play with friends.

Enjoy Poker! :)

This product is a great value. There were less chips then some of them I saw, but there is enough to play with 6 or 8 players. The cards were thin, so I replaced them. Chips were a nice weight and the case was great.

It is an okay poker chips set for an occasional game at home. Although the case handle looks like it was going to break, but I doubt if it does. The company probably tested it first. For 30 buck, you can't go wrong.

The chips are great. The case was very cheaply made. The clasps don't stay latched right. Luckily they lock so if I keep them locked they don't come open. But I am happy for the price I paid.

I paid $35 with free shipping for the set of 500 chips, which comes to about 7 cents a chip. For this price, the chips were a good value. However, if you are expecting "casino quality" chips, as stated in the product description, you will be disappointed. They do not look, feel, or sound like real casino chips. At all. These chips have a glossy surface, rather than matte. The weight is a little light and the chips have a slippery feel (as when stacking them, or trying to shuffle them). As for sound, they make a loud clinking noise, as opposed to the duller sound of casino chips. The chips are described as clay composite, but they would be more accurately described as composite resin. Nothing clay-like about them. Still, a good value for the money, since real clay chips run $1+ per chip. The chips were uniform in size and they seem lifetime durable. As for the carrying case and cards, I agree with other reviewers-- on the flimsy side. But the dice are good quality-- excellent for throwing practice for craps.
