Ripped seams and holes in the gloves are common.

More expensive the Harbor Freight and about 1/4 of the quality.

They are comfortable enough, and I consider it a great value.

As these gloves are so inexpensive I figured they would be poor quality.
Laying stone and smoothing sand ate through one expensive pair of another
brand rapidly, and its replacement, just as expensive, in just as short order.
These however withstood much toll from hauling stone and
abrasion from smoothing sand. They break in nicely, wear well and are comfortable.
After much digging, sanding and hauling the first pair is still in
good shape. Very impressed with these fine gloves.

These are the standard thin cowhide / heavy cloth construction work gloves that many of us have used for years. They offer some protection from yucky stuff and plenty of protection against small scratches and bruises that occur during ordinary handyman stuff. They're not specialty chemical suit gloves or gripper gloves or for training dogs or installing barbed wire and they're not claiming to be. They will disintegrate and tear over time, which can be weeks or months. What I do is keep a newer cleaner pair for handling tools, especially when sanding, and then the previous somewhat worn pair gets used for digging, taking out the garbage, or other dirty stuff instead of sharp stuff. They do wear out but that's the point--to be a cheap shield that takes blows your skin could survive a few of but which you'd just as soon avoid. Compared to big box stores around here, these cost less and they're the same thing, and since they aren't perishable and are a consumable item, just order them in advance with SuperSaver and then it's noticeably less than in a hardware store.

I found these gloves to be decent medium duty gloves for the price. I've mostly been using a pair for cutting firewood and general yard work over the last month and so far they show no signs of wearing out. There are better gloves out there but not at the price I paid for this 6 pack (~$9.75).

I purchased these for doing trail work on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). Our projects would last up to 10 days. These gloves would last for nearly 2 projects if we were primarily doing log out work, but would start to get holes in the fingertips after a week if we were mostly doing rock work. Either way they were comfortable and I never got blisters when using an axe, pulaski, single jack hammers, double jack sledge, crosscut saw, shovel or other trail tools. The only problem I had was that the gloves would stretch out and cause the glove to get so loose that they could easily fall off. I'd give the gloves 5 stars if they remained snug until holes were worn into them. I'm going to stick with these gloves because the great price allows me to replace these frequently.

UPDATE: They're still a pretty good deal here, but the price has gone up slightly and have fewer gloves. My first purchase had 6 pairs of gloves, but now it's 5 pairs with a higher price.

I purchased these gloves to donate to the Hurricane Sandy relief effort and shortly thereafter received an email that they would be donating additional pairs to the cause. Sturdy gloves purchased from a company that cares. *Swoon*

I can't say much about their usefulness as gloves because I never wore them. I opened the clear plastic the gloves were wrapped in and was instantly punched in the face by the most nauseating mix of mold and chemical scents, only to discover that they were stiff as a board and covered with red mold spots. They smelled so bad that even after I immediately removed them from my house, the smell lingered for three days.

My impression was that perhaps the gloves were lightly used (even though advertised as new) and subsequently washed and repackaged. I don't know that for a fact, but it seems that way. I may have just been unlucky and got a package that sat in a damp corner of the warehouse for much longer than others. Bottom line: They smell like crap. They're hard as wood. They're disgusting.

These are your standard work gloves. Nice and thick leather pads and fingers allow you to grab anything when working out in the field. Be it rotted wood or pricker bushes. However, the backs of these gloves are mainly fabric, and if you're pulling out pricker bushes like I was, they can get through the backs and stick you real good. They also could sometimes get through the front pads too. So I had to use some caution. But other than that, these are decent tough work gloves.

At the age of 60 now, I decided I was no longer able to handle the gardening of my house by myself so I hired a handyman. I anticipated that work gloves would be needed so I ordered the 5-pack of these leather gloves. They hold up well and can be used multiple times. They are absolutely necessary for mowing the lawn and using the string trimmer. I recommend this product.
