I usually buy the Sears cloth HEPA filter bags that come two to a package for my Kenmore canister vacuum. For the same price (or less) this offer includes nine quality, lined paper bags by Envirocare that are stated to capture 99.7% of all allergens. These bags fit the vacuum perfectly, and the bag itself seems to fit the cavity of the vacuum better than the cloth bags do. When I switched to these bags I noticed a huge difference in the amount of suction power the vacuum seems to have. Overall these bags are a great value for the money.

I purchased these bags in hopes for the same type I bought from Sears in their stores--ones made of thick, high quality fabric. I was disappointed that they were not what I was expecting. Needless to say, I purchased multiple packages to save on shipping costs, because it cost the same amount to ship one package as it did to ship three. Doing it this way made each bag more cost effective, and now I don't have to think about buying them for a long time! If you are looking for the white, fabric-like bags, do not purchase these. They are a regular thin, paper vacuum cleaner bag.

These bags work fine for me in my Kenmore canister. No, they're not the fabric kind, but a Sears vacuum salesman told me the difference in allergen-trapping effectiveness between the true Hepa bags and the paper ones is a matter of a few percent. I don't recall the exact numbers, but I knew my reaction at the time was the allergen-trapping difference was TOTALLY not worth the price difference.

I'm writing this review because of a problem I found with the cardboard frame at the mouth of the bag. In my vac, this frame slides into a slot that holds it in position. The problem is that the bag is glued almost up to the edge of the cardboard on some bags so that there is not enough clearance for the cardboard to slide into the slot. It's not a lot, but it's enough that I ripped two bags trying to get them installed. If you look at the bags when you get them you will see a fair amount of deviation in how much clearance you have. Some bags are ok, some are not.

It makes what seems like a great deal--so many bags for not so much money--less so, because some bags are not usable or rip upon installation.

I might still buy them again because the price is so good, but I will do it knowing the risk I'm taking.

Vacuum bags are exactly as described and fit my machine perfectly. Very fast delivery also.

These are cheap paper bags, not the HEPA cloth ones. They are also significantly smaller than the "Kenmore Q - replaces 50557" ones that I was replacing. Although the write-up and photo of the product on the Amazon site indicated that they were for 50557 and 50558 bags, the product that I received only says 5055 on the package.

This is a GREAT price and just perfect for a replacement bag... better than the original design... sometimes we take a chance on "replacement" versions of original design but this one is perfect... and better than old style... BTW I have an old canister that now has New life... great suction allowed by these new bags and cleaner too...

Previously, I had always purchased Kenmore's bag (not copies) and will be returning to that practice. These bags do not fit/seal properly, with a significant amount of the dirt ending up in the vacuum cleaner versus in the bag. My first thought was did I do something wrong or was it just one bag that was the problem -- I have now used several of these bags and the result is continually a large amount of dirt ends up in the vacuum cleaner's body as well as the filter is clogged with dirt and other fiber matter -- a noticeable amount. I will be throwing out the remainder of these bags.

B&M Housewares is advertising EnviroCare bags for Kenmore Canister vacs 5055, but is shipping a very low end Dust Vacuum Corp (DVC) bag. They are not microfilter, they are not even as large as the standard bag. Total Bait and Switch. Shame on you BM.

Wasn't sure about these but gave it a try. They are AWESOME!!!! I WILL be ordering these from now on. I have tried so many bags before, but I love these, easy to install, take out and they have a built in piece of tape so there is not mess or fly ups!!! Great product, thanks so much!!

We are just getting over a flea problem in our house and needed to change our bags daily. You can imagine that we didn't want to use expensive bags, but certainly did not want cheap bags that ripped or were too loose. These bags are cheaper and fit our vacuum perfectly. We just wish we had learned about them before!
