This review is from: The 50's Decade: Rock 'n' Roll (Audio CD)
Add this to the list of sleazy attempts to separate baby-boomers from their money by selling a recording with the names and song titles of the records we remember so well, but which bear little or no resemblance to the original performances. I think a couple of these tracks might be the originals, for example Johnny and the Hurricanes' "Red River Rock." But the two Danny and the Juniors tracks, "At the Hop" and "Rock and Roll is Here to Stay," sound very much as if they were performed by Danny and the Seniors - Seniors who have lost every ounce of the spirit and energy they had back in 1958. And for anyone who remembers the original "Yakety-Yak," this recording might make you physically retch.

Stay away!
